I think the gemology skill counts under mental rather than creative, since you level up faster when focused.
@junerussell6972
@junerussell6972 4 ай бұрын
That's been my experience when I've had Sims doing crafting. (They end up painting to get over their burnout. The sapphire crystal seems to really help with preventing the gem crafter from burning out.) At first, I only put the charged gem on the crafting table. However, I found that if I put a charger near the crafting table but outside the roofline (so that it would continue to charge) it helped keep the gem charged and still worked while they were crafting. It also helped prevent them from getting the "drained gem" moodlet, since the gem kept charging what it lost during the day, without me needing to remember to put it back on the charger.

@@deligracy One of the good things about the charging table is that if it is in a position to get moonlight, it tells you that it's charging. If it's too far under the roofline, it's daytime or if it's indoors, it says it isn't charging. All you have to do is mouse over it and it tells you all the items on the unit, if the unit is charging, and how well-charged the items are.

I think the crystal charging grid has to be outside exposed to moonlight for it to work. I believe Dr. Gluon found out that if you charge your crystal creations before selling them, they’ll sell for a higher price. And you as the player can place items on the charging grid if you want, you don’t _have to_ make your sim do it for it to work properly. Love this series and I’m excited to see you play this pack!

When you collect gems etc from lightning strikes, you have to have the sim claim them, not just drag into inventory, or it won't count as being owned by the sim. That's probably why they wouldn't stock onto the selling table.

I am so addicted to this series, I have so many thoughts! The smallest being that I thought Opal's roof looked so good as the more Victorian slope/pointy version and I was a little bummed you switched to more rounded but I utterly trust your process. I audibly gasped when you picked out her front door and windows, like, what absolute perfect picks! My bigger thought is that I know it's so frustrating for you guys as content creators when a pack releases and it's so full of bugs you basically can't play it but honestly, I'm actually so tickled by the creativity you and James have shown by doing your own unique side challenges that aren't EP based. It really speaks to just how creative you both are because the level of content you guys are putting out, EP bugs be damned, is just so so impressive. And lastly and not nearly as important, as a lifelong Lord of the Rings girly I'm so glad you're enjoying the books! They're my favorite 💚

Tips for Annie and Cypress. - Cypress is actually very easy. Just level your wood working as fast as possible. Don't make the sculptures as they aren't worth it. Make the most expensive furniture you can make at your level and sell it through your household inventory. LilMsSam makes a wood working mod that allows you to make more profits with wood working if you want to use mods because you can make even more expensive wood working stuff. Candle making is a waste of time, but I did some for the skill. You can make the most profit by running a retail store with 100% markup because Cypress takes a long time to make stuff. Don't restock things, but make new ones to sell. - Annie can be a pain. You can drag photos directly onto the selling table in live mode. You cannot put them inside the table inventory. Don't bother doing this with low value photos though. It's just a grind to snap random shots and sell them immediately. I suggest joining the freelance career and becoming a fashion photographer. Photography gigs make it much more interesting than just grinding photos. You can even setup an in-home studio and use the extra cameras, tripods and lights.

Loving this series! Maybe adding a little gym or just a treadmill to the top floor could be fun, or a yoga area for group sessions with all the townsfolk. Also I saw there is a gem, plumbite I think, that increases your needs overtime. I am also playing it and got Frank, Cypress, Opel, and now Alice. Cypress was really easy, started with figures on the selling table, then sold the bathtubs. lol. And he ended up marrying someone who had a horse, so we leaned into the ranch style. And for Opel I didn't have the crystal pack so I made her an archeologist instead, and she has a very purple/black Victorian house with antique furniture, stone spires, and upstairs was the library and display room with archeology table. Alice has been very hard because I don't have any other photo packs and I didn't realize I could drag photos in live mode, but hopefully that will make it easier now. Thank you comments! hehe

I know you explained the room mate in one of the episodes, but could you please show that again. Speaking of the toilet party, they were reminiscing about the compost toilet catching on fire and Ziggy saving Bea from Grim's grip of death. Because of that they now have the golden throne to sit upon. I really do enjoy this challenge. I am playing Azure and she is doing well with her painting, but am having a problem trying to decide how to build her home/style I am leaning along the lines of industrial look with some farmhouse/contempo/boho vibes. I think Opal's style of house would be a cross between victorian and fantasy. Azure is going to get a makeover a not all the outfits but some of them with the new kit that came out. I plan on using the party kit in the Community Cares Center. I like the idea of using clubs for gardening, animal care and maybe wellness plus it helps the town to get together. I might even use the calendar to have a weekly event BBQ or party of some type.

Love the series 😊 you mentioned about the ivy over the windows in the clubhouse, that maybe in real life it wouldn't be great because you would get dirt all over the windows - when I was a kid I went for music lessons in a building covered with ivy, and the rooms used to feel so cozy, like a magical hidden space (can't say if it was dirty though, I was 5 so I guess I didn't notice haha)

The park in Ocean Springs has a lot of places to dig for rare stones, and the random jewlery for 300 will give you jewlery worth 290-1000+, so that one is def worth it to earn money :)

I’m loving every bit of this series ; all of the Tiny Town residents have so much personality. I really love that you’re trying so many didn’t ways of earning simoleons. Also I know they don’t have tvs in their homes but maybe you could put one of the older looking tvs in the clubhouse so everyone could watch it if they wish?

She was one of my favorites. Once you grown the trees. Make golden omelets or drink golden milk, you then can “golden pulse” the crystal trees. Then you get the rarest crystals. Plumbite is the bomb. It fills their needs. I had her make pieces made out of that and left them in the “club house”for the others. Though. I’ve had problems with the roommate feature.

Cyprus is SO easy. Master the handiness skill and build bathtubs. They cost 375 to make and sell for 900. Make a couple thousand bucks a day. Before you unlock tubs, make the wall hangings and you make a I think 500 or 700 a pop. It’s crazy good. I loved Crypus so much. His house turned out the coolest. It pushed me to try something totally different.

I recently started my own Tiny Town, and i am HOOKED. I started with Annie, which is a rough start tbh. But Annie donated a selling table to the community after she built her house, and Frank Stem after her was very grateful selling his flower arrangements on the selling table! He made so much money that he was able to build a small cabin with a bed and bathroom, which Beatrice is now using while building her cottage. Can't wait to go play again, I am so excited about this challenge.

dry needling isn't as bad as it sounds! I got it on my shoulder and it honestly barely felt like a poke. I do have a very high pain tolerance, but it helped so much, I recommend it!

Dry needling tip: I get dry needling on my occipital muscles for migraines. It hurts for a second, but then they either twist the needle to loosen the muscle or they will hook you up to a stem machine which basically taps on the muscles for like 10 minutes. Usually sore for less than a day then have relief for about a week. Overall, highly recommend.

I've been playing a lot with the Crystal Creations pack and the sapphire is the one you want for mental burnout. I always keep a sapphire gem charged and on my gemology table to prevent burnout and it works wonders! also, if you can find plumbite, it will cause your sim's needs to increase over time as long as it's charged. I LOVE the crystal pack! and I LOVE this challenge! 😍

I just started playing this challenge a few days ago - this was a brilliant idea, I'm loving this challenge. I was so happy to get Cypress first. Since he's a builder, he can not only build stuff to sell but also to furnish his house and the common areas. When you make enough money, take him on a one-day trip to Granite Falls. He can learn the schematics of the giant statue in the forest and make a lot of money selling small copies of it (especially at 300% profit). Also, I highly recommend LittleMsSam's "more woodworks" mod. It's a game changer.

One thing Opal better do is to get the crystal tree seed planted, it takes a week just for the tree to sprout. Also, I found out yesterday that if you charge up the seed, it will grow faster. Getting the magnificent tree is the only thing my sim has to do for the gemology aspiration. You can use one of the crystals to do it, and it doesn't matter which one you use.
