Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson were two famous songwriters out of Motown records. They wrote songs that turned into duets for Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell like: Ain't No Mountain High Enough, If This World Were Mine (remade by Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn), You're All I Need To Get By (sampled by Method man and Mary J Blige), if I could build my whole world around you, and it takes two (with Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston. I think they did the harmonies, but the song was written by Holland Dozier Holland). Ashford and Simpson had some other hits too like "Is it still good to you". Check out more of their songs.
