I had a tractor trailer rollover accident and I am 100% disabled and living on disability so I'm struggling just to make it to the next day. Happy Mothers day. What an epic looking caravan. Initially it looked very short for a family caravan. And then you showed us inside and I understood why it looks short. The main bed certainly allows for for an overall shorter design. It will be interesting to see how the bed system holds up to the punishment you guys give to your van. And wow matched tyres on the truck and van! very smart indeed. I am looking forward to your van build video.

7:52 this reminds me of a story my mom told me when I was a teenager. We were driving on a gorgeous summer day after stopping at a nostalgic ice cream shack on the other side of our town, the “rich people side” it was commonly known to as kids my age. Gorgeous houses tucked away from the main roads and there was this 1 little house that jutted out and made it’s own little peninsula surrounded by water. I absolutely love the water and living directly next to it was always a dream of mine. This picture perfect house with its picture perfect views was almost my home. I had no idea. But I guess when I was 2 or 3 my dad had recently died and my mom was a single mom of 2 kids. My aunt and her decided they’d live together until my mom got back on her feet. This house happened to be one they viewed and loved, but what was the first thing I did? Run directly to the freaking water. It was an immediate no after that bc my mom and aunt said they’d never be calm living there with kids. It was too dangerous and boy were they right lol I was always getting into things as a kid, had a new injury almost every season, casts and stitches and countless ripped pants from climbing trees. I still remember the house and look at it when I drive by but I like the story as well. My mom passed when I was 19 so I don’t have as many stories as I’d like. Ones like this are special, so thank you for making me remember it. I’m turning 39 tomorrow actually and totally understand the mom mentality now. My son is 16 and I still worry about him all the time. I don’t know if that ever goes away but it is easier when they’re older. Edit to add: just got to the boys bedding part. If there’s no patterns you like by the company, I would check for fabric you like or you can even get custom made fabric if you really wanted but I’m not sure the price on that. But anyways, you could source a local seamstress or quilter to make them to fit the bed perfectly and have the design you want. I know you mentioned sewing something down the line, but you’re raising 4 kiddos always on the move. This is my first video seeing you guys but I can tell you already do a lot. When you compare the cost of purchasing / getting something made you can’t just think about the literal dollar amount, factor in your time as well. Which as a mom of 4 is priceless. There’s so many other things you could be doing instead of sewing and it doesn’t even have to be you doing something productive, it could also be playing with the kids or me time and an hour of relaxation. It might not be the easiest task finding someone local since you’re always traveling, but you could give the dimensions to them and they can ship it to you. I’d check small businesses and see what you could find before you stress yourself out too much. The bedding is supposed to make your life easier, not harder haha Also, definitely subscribing. Australia is gorgeous and I’d love to visit. It just seems like a better place to be physically and mentally then America lol
