As a parent of 6, grandparent of 9, the best thing watching your videos is the love you show for each other and the little ones, and the way you both let your little boys be little boys, don't change a thing and just continue to love life, remember family comes first and your babies are only babies for a short time, travel safe

Having designed and built my own air suspension systems for a few different off road vehicles I guess they are using a standard automotive air suspension valve block on the caravan. The problem with those valve blocks is that they can't simultaneously raise one side and lower the other. When you want to roll the van it has to lift one side a bit then drop the other a bit, resulting in that pulsing effect. You can increase how much it moves on each pulse but it gets more and more difficult to maintain control over the ride height. The problem is that the air bags interact with each other. Raising one side also raises the other a bit and vice versa. When you start making big moves that interaction becomes very hard to control. The only real solution is a custom valve block that has fully independent control over each bag. I have been working on a design for such a block but it's on the back burner at the moment while I build my latest truck.

FYI the eyelet bolts on the bullbar aren’t rated for towing, they are designed to allow the bullbar to be tilted forward. The atw bars don’t have any rated tow points. And you have likely damaged the transmission as well if you didn’t pull the tail shaft or diff centres, the Isuzu AMT’s Oil pump runs off the input shaft so towing it without the motor on means no lubrication.

Bugger! All vehicle manufacturers dump your warranty when anything is altered or modified, they like to keep things in their engineered safety zones as per manufacturing standards. Even exhaust systems void your warranty, I found that out with my 79 series. I’m travelling in an NPS 300 atm and have deliberately avoided modifying anything apart from suspension because of the stresses of offroading and load capacity.
@chrisstokes51136 ай бұрын
My last employer. was one of the largest Heavy vehicle manufacturers. I was a warranty administrator. They justify there decisions on it was not designed to do that. When you make any changes. This is a very unfair position for manufacturers to take. And in most cases just a money saving decision
@OnlyGoodDaysCo6 ай бұрын
They have to prove the modifications caused whatever the failure was. Consumer law protects people from these blanket “no warranty”
@shanethackeray19886 ай бұрын
@@chrisstokes5113 when I owned my 79 series I had the exhaust changed to a 3 inch twin system by a reputable installer, A very good friend of mine who is the service manager of a large Toyota dealer advised me that any warranty was void once I had that work done, regardless of what warranty issue it was….friggin criminal, thankfully being a Toyota nothing ever came up in the 9 years I had it. You are 100% correct when you say it’s a money saving exercise by manufacturers, although I have to say some of the mods ( tune ups etc etc ) do add extra stresses to engine parts. If you want to play then you might have to pay.

That suspension on the caravan is a game changer! I'm sure they even have body leveling suspension that can do the same thing. As for your engine troubles that's a painfully expensive pill to swallow. As for Isuzu voiding the warranty because you tuned the engine is just wrong of them. There's tuning companies out there that take up the difference where car manufacturers cut you off.

Never a happy day when something so significant happens to your vehicle. I'm not surprised at all that Isuzu didn't investigate further and they're quite quick to pass the buck and take zero responsibility even if your vehicle has no mods. Just google bump steer issue Isuzu Dmax. On a more positive note, loving the episodes! Keep on keeping on.
@onedayatatime42326 ай бұрын
Isuzu is well documented as being one of the worst in Australia as far as after sales service goes. But as with all manufacturers, if it's remapped, no manufacturer will stand by its warranty . Warranty only covers the standard vehicle, not an enhanced vehicle. As with a previous comment, do an SOS when doing an oil change. That alone could save you thousands in repairs if early detection of metal is found in the oil sample. Maintenance is the key to vehicle longevity.
