With a newborn, eating dinner together is so exciting at times. I remember there were so many nights of eating in shifts if it was a rough evening. Toothbrushing tip: *feel free to completely ignore if what you do works for you* I had seen a tip to lay the child down between your legs with head in your lap. You get a better view and if they get fussy and grabby, you can safely use your legs to hold their arms down w/o hurting them. Another thing I do is when I'm almost done I give a count down to "done". It initially started because I didn't want her to think that being fussy would make me stop (even if it was why we wrapped up a little faster). And now she knows once I start counting she can calm because it's almost over. Started at 3 but now we start all the way at 10 and she gets excited to say done with me.

B) Two small bins: 1) for sentimental items 2) baby items and a C)notebook for jotting down memories. There will also be a file box for necessary information such as school memories information and medical records. Also how does Abby store her own keepsakes? I would love to organize mine but don’t know where to begin… Abby is younger than me but inspiring and I think she would have good ideas. I’m curious what Abby does.

Just a few things to make your life easier. Before bath time go around and gather ALL the things that your baby needs, that way you don't have to run back and forth to grab things, 2nd thing and this is HUGE and will set the tone for avoiding a lot of conflicts. Cook one meal. That's what everyone eats. Don't cook a seperate meal for everyone. No reason the little guy couldn't eat salmon, rice, and diced up broccoli. By feeding him the same thing every night you are encouraging picky eating. One meal feeds everyone.

Oh I definitely understand because this was once exactly my life but with one big difference. My husband worked 3rd shift to make 2 bucks more an hour, 6 days a week. My kiddos are 18 months and 3 days apart in age. I still don't recommend to anyone to have 2 babies so close in age. For me, it was on purpose so I could go back on all of my crohn's meds. All my meds are not compatible with breast feeding or pregnancy so we were like let's have them close together and then get my body figured out. It's really really really hard to do alone. Lots of silent tears on my part during it. Anyone who does have a spouse or partner who can be available for long nights with 2 babies, you are an angel and blessed beyond words!!!!!! You guys are by definition the perfect family ❤ I know you’re both still young and new parents but just the way you two can work so well like a team says so much about your relationship and I hope one day you guys can teach other new parents how to be so amazing together too ❤ but i also know having your soul mate and best friend as your partner is the absolute recipe lol also Matt is honestly the funniest person he’s always got so much energy 😂 your children have the best parents 🥰
