Our "Pet" Blackbird Enjoying An Afternoon Shower

Another very hot summer afternoon sees Mrs Bird panting like a dog trying to regulate heat and cool down. Previously we've turned on the soak hose for her... today she was looking longingly at it giving me her wee chirp as if to tell me to turn it on... so I obliged and she had a lovely time having a shower before preening and then coming to the door for some mealworms...
One of her chicks from her first nest of the season we call "Cherry" (because it goes nuts for cherries) came to visit too and had a quick shower before swiping the cherries I'd put out!!
