Hello. here is the link to a video about Armand Duplantis. The world's best pole vaulter. He was born in Lafayette, Louisiana in the USA, but competes for Sweden. Armand's mother is from Sweden. Because Armand, or Mondo as he is called, has passports in both Sweden and the USA, Mondo chose to compete for Sweden. There is an error in the video, where they claim that Mondo was fluent in Swedish when he decided to compete for Sweden. He started giving interviews in Swedish 4 years ago and now he speaks fluent Swedish and lives in Stockholm with a Swedish girlfriend. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipbEp5hmhsRpd6ssi=hGLBzHw-yu45u6yM

A large copy of this was bought by Liechtenstein and gifted to the United Nations in New York. In this video is onw of the 15 copies displayed around Sweden.

The herring on the table is most likely another flavour - there are dozens of flavours of pickled herring. For christmas I usially buy only two types - the senap sill that you like and löksill. The knäckebröd also exists in many varieties. Dangerous animals exist in Sweden. Snakes are rare but technically 1 variety (huggorm) is potentially deadly (I think less than 1 person per 10 years die, around 300 persons bitten per year in total). Every few years someone comes to close to a bear, but they are generally few and shy. Most deadly are the bigger animals which you can get in a traffic accident with (reindeer, moose, deer, wild pigs)...
@cynic7049Ай бұрын
Viper ('huggorm'), is potentially deadly but not for an healthy adult, but for children and people with health issues there are a risk for. And yes, Swedish bears in are shy. Pretty much the only time a bear will fight if it a a female with cubs, the term mama-bear may ring a bell or two, or if you come close and it do not see a way out (or see you as faster than it, and bears are slow so any sudden appearance is dangerous).

Many animals in Sweden can be dangerous in theroy. But in Reality they stay away from people. Bear: attack and hurt less then 1 person every year and 1 death every 20 year. Mostly hunters. Wolfs: kills lots and lots of animals like dogs, cheep, deer and Mosse. But As far as I know there are not a singel killed or serious hurt person in the last 100 years. (accept 1 killed human in a zoo by a flock of wolfs) Snakes: We only have 1 poisonous snake (Vipera berus) and its not that bad 1-2 people die every 10 years and normaly its kids/old or allergic to venom bites. Wild boars: Can be dangerous 2-3 people get hurt every year but I dont know about anyone dying. Could be but I havent heared about it. The most dangerous animals that hurt and/or kill people in Sweden is. Ticks, Dogs, horses, cows and moose. Dog, horse and cows are easy to learn to handle. Ticks you may need to take a vaccin every year. Moose is simple to stay away from. Be extra careful if they have small kids, Stay away from males when they are in heat. In the Autumn stay away if they have eaten to many old apples in your garden. It turns to alcohol and they can be aggressive when they are drunk. No joke.

We have no real dangerous animals in Sweden. Tick, European hornet and Moose are some of the deadliest. But one many forget is the dog. In Sweden around 5000 people are injured every year, and 300 every year require hospital care after a dog attack. We have one snake that can be deadly, the Adder (Vipera berus). In Sweden 250-300 are treated at hospital for its bite every year. Around 30-50 people die in Europe every year from its poison. In Sweden 250-300 per year are treated at hospital for its bite.

When you live alone you usually have a apartment with one to two rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom and the size is around 50-60 square meters, but it all depends on what you want and need, me I have 4 rooms and 138 square meters because I want a guest room for people that visit me. And yes a lot of people live alone but do have boyfriends and girlfriends with their own apartment and after some years some move together but it’s not uncommon to keep the second apartment just in case… And people that are studying often share apartments to save money. Allemansrätten is that you can walk, camp, pick mushrooms and berries on private land and land own by the government. You can always camp for one night where ever you want (not in someone’s garden just by the house) but the nr one rule is, when you leave it has to look as when you came so all garbage you take with you.

What he didn't explain about the "freedom to roam" law is that you are allowed to roam, pick berries and mushroom etc on private property as well, not just public property. You are allowed to camp in a private forest as long as it is not close to someone's house. This is because you can't fully and truly own a piece of land in Sweden. The Swedish land belongs to the Swedish citizen. It's your birth right to be allowed to roam the land of Sweden.
@scypheАй бұрын
Yes, you have to ask for permission to roam/set up a tent in what's called "hemfridszon" (there's no English word that I know of), ie. the house and surrounding area. We (at least I did) learn about it in school including how to behave like never leave trash around when you leave, when it's allowed to start a fire and how to do it correctly and so on.

A good explanation about sweden.. and the nordic I think! Lets start with the "not feeding ones neigbours kid".. its a social thing and one need to phone there parents first! Its about the other familys dinner plans! And its not about powerty.. becuse sweden is still one of the richest contry! And if there was a starving kid they would have been feed! Its rather the oposite in sweden, kids eat to much candy and get obese! Next thing is "offentlighetsprincipen".. everybody know everything about you, or they can get the moste information about you.. its a wholy grail in sweden, its for the moste part companys and authoritys that use that information.. to make bussines/buy things on kredit or by authorityes to check if you is entiteld to that "benefit" one have applyed for! Soo I can if I like, check my neighbours, my ex, my friends, my self.. its not worth the effort!

You want to hear about dangerous animals in Sweden? We have one venomous snake species - the common European adder. It lives almost all over Europe as the name says. It's not very deadly though. It's mostly very painful, but can be fatal if not treated. It won't bite unless provoked, so just keep your eyes open. Don't pick it up or step on it. Wolves are scary to some, but mostly avoid humans. They can attack livestock and pets though. The same can be said about bears. But if you get too close before they notice you, they can be dangerous. Our big cat is the Northern lynx. From what I know, similar to the Canadian lynx. Wolverines can also be found here, often competing with lynx and wolf for prey. The predators are more common in the north, where population is more sparse. The predator population is mostly kept down by hunting. This is an eternal political debate. Should we have more of them or try to protect livestock and pets that are running free in nature? I would like more wildlife, but I also get that people keeping sheep don't like to have them eaten, so I don't even get into the debate. Wild boar are quite common in the south. But it's debated if it should be seen as a natural species of Sweden. It seems to have been gone (hunted to extinction or totally domesticated) in the late stone age, but was imported to be hunted for sport in the middle ages by the nobility. Lots of them escaped and established a population. Hunters like to keep some for sport, but farmers like to have their crops intact. Another debate... Should we see them as an invasive species when it was centuries ago? Anyways, they can be dangerous it they charge at you. Mostly they will try to avoid human contact, but can turn on you too. Moose are huge and scary for two reasons. Either they see you as a threat when in their habitat and they can easily kick you to death, or one runs across the road in front of your car. They are enormous and will mess up most vehicles and its passengers if hit. I think I would be as afraid of meeting a big moose bull as a bear. But I have seen both animals back off if shouted at, so maybe I would survive if I stand my ground.

Not exactly what they have as salary, no but last year's total income put in the income declaration that we all do each year as Swedes falls under Offentlighetsprincipen and that's the info ratsit gives you about a peron if you pay a fee to them. Have never used the service myself tho but know other that have. It was changed a bit in 2023 I think that it shows the total sum so it can also be including other income that isn't from work. Can't see what is what tho.
