I watch each and every video you post on your channel no matter the content. I have fallen in love with the whole family. I feel like one of the family and I anxiously await each new video ! I wish I lived closer to your farm so I could volunteer to do small chores with you. I am from East TN - I’m 73 and I lost my husband to cancer last year - watching your family’s trials and tribulations has kept me going. Love you all and look forward to the next video. I always keep everyone of you in my prayers.

Angie, same here. I feel like I'm watching the Grandkids I'll likely never see. Millennials don't seem interested in having kids 😢. Justin and the " lovely one " brighten my days with my favorite Family 💕. After watching you, I learned about Permaculture; watched Joel, Jess and tons of others. I then sold my condo in Miami Beach in 2023 and moved to DeLand, Florida where I'm growing fruit trees and veggies and flowers for the first time in my life . Thank you for giving my 64 year old life, new meaning. Thank you for offering your Family as an example of a loving family leading honest happy lives, providing for yourselves through hard work. Keep moving forward 🎉 Michele ❣️

The family Allstars for 2023 have to be Josiah and Gideon. When Jonah had his accident Josiah stepped up BIG TIME! Rarely being asked to do things as he was already doing them. This quiet, contemplative young man went from being a farm boy doing his chores, to quietly picking up all the slack. Gideon too went from playing and complaining less to helping, even at times he was never asked to. Gideon also kept his baby brother safe and entertained many times, also becoming a good example for him.

Wonderful video, having followed along sat an cried prayed each time Jonah had surgery. Feel so sad for the Beautiful Ones feeling defeated...she does such a great job keeping healthy foods for the family. The Amazing progress and change at the farm. An that house plan is out of this world! Rebecca's dream kitchen will come to life, so happy for her. Lillian horse is so beautiful as well. Henry is growing up! Mr. Brown working so hard with his brothers. However the most wonderful is Josiah, his low key disposition, thinking man of little spoken words has just blossomed. Stepping up caring for family, farm as well caring for the animals. Rhodes ENTERPRISES CEO, for sure. Rhodes Family may each an everyone of you have a Wonderful Christmas, a very blessed New Year! Then we moved from the house at Crosby to a house north of Liberty, 30 miles away, and then we traded houses with the family who bought that house a year later, then my parents bought a house closer to the school and I walked to the high school, and they lived there temporarily for 42 years before they died.

Fantastic compilation! As a viewer who cares, can you please take a chainsaw class?? Some foresters offer classes on different cutting techniques and felling techniques according to various situations and this knowledge is LIFE SAVING. Watching you fell those two locusts in the woods, especially the second, caused my heart to go into my throat because of the danger. PLEASE enroll your boys and yourself in a class on proper felling techniques, y'all are too valuable to risk being hurt again. A back cut releases tension on a tree AND controls the direction it drops. This can be the difference between a successful harvest and a serious injury. Sincerely, a concerned viewer

Thank you Justin, you are a caring father and husband. I recommend watching "Sow the Land" and "Living Traditions Homestead" channels for their awesome care of animals. Lots of space to enjoy life and be very happy animals, a good reminder that animals have feelings too. Stressed animals will get sick and crowded animals will get in trouble. Nothing wrong to give the best life to animals before they are harvested. God has blessed you, to Him be given all the thanks for giving you health, and wealth to live the homestead life. We can all learn from others how to give the best care to our animals.

Just a few suggestions, with all the trees taken down have you thought of wood chips for the animals or the garden? You could also use stumps to grow mushrooms depending on what type of wood you have. Wood can be used for fencing and to used and sell for firewood. Have you thought about using red clover and other species of plants to rebuild nitrogen?

Continue:(. I do worry about the younger boys, running chainsaws and gas equipment. I have seen adults be injured, seriously and scarred for life by chainsaw, mishaps and same with the big equipment they’re running. It’s very easy for those things to chip if you’re not getting them balanced right when you’re picking up and unloading your loads in the scoop. I’m excited for you guys to be getting a new house. It is something you will all love for the rest, your life because you built it together.❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am amazed at the way you are all handling Jonah’s challenges! Kudos to these doctors who put us back together at all ages! I have had multiple surgeries in my life, starting with double ankle surgery at 15, after developing crippling bone spurs. It was hard watching my 8 siblings going to summer camp without me, and wearing orthotic shoes while all my friends were wearing pretty ones. As a 66 year old I needed double shoulder replacements, and a hip replacement after a bout of Lyme disease. Before I was able to get the surgeries, (Covid delays), over 2 1/2 years. (If you had viewed what I had to do to get through a day it would have been quite comical.) 😁 it was not easy, but it built things into me that will serve me well the rest of my days! I can tell you, doctors and surgeons can help you regain a measure of physical flexibility… but the most important ingredient to Jonah’s future happiness and fulfillment is the mental, emotional and spiritual strength and flexibility you as parents are teaching him. Farm life done right just builds that into a person, and know that if you can’t give him perfect health, you are giving him that. ❤️🥰

The more you move, you never get rid of boxes, you just fold them up and store them. I have moved for various reasons about 30 times. I don't know what it is like to have a hometown. I have lived in Cleburne for 29 years in October, we came here knowing nobody, now we know a few people, for me the people I know are either from church or shopping at Walmart. I worked at Walmart a little over 5 years and I worked at Crowley WM and quit, worked at Dollar General before Christmas that year, went to training at Granbury, Worked at Godley until it closed a year later, transferred to Granbury for 6 months, transferred to Cleburne to be closer to my kids, this was while Darrell and I were divorced, then we remarried in January of 2017 after 1-1/2 years, and I ransferred to Burleson because Cleburne dropped my hours to one 4-1/2 hour day one week and two 4-1/2 days the next week. What I earned paid my insurance on me and the three kids and my paycheck was $2.69. Never have I ever had a paycheck that small.
