I think a lot of people don’t know that if your home is a RV, then you are paying a mortgage, not a car payment. The MSRP for this model and brand new is $372,221. The mortgage payments for this is the same as a mortgage for an average house. This video is actually very informative and I appreciate the tour of their beautiful RV and a glimpse at their life.

My wife and I want to do this once we're empty-nesters in twenty years. Not incredibly interested in the topic, but you've earned yourselves a subscriber due to your efficient setup as well as your concise and entertaining presentation of it. Shame about your comment section. Sadly most people can't accomplish much, and in their jealously, fall back to the one thing they can do - mock those out actually accomplishing things. The fact they can't see that you are "living light" - by both saving a lot of money and owning much less than most of them do - is telling enough.

It's not about money...we have money, it's not about Jealousy, I'm very happy with my income and retirement..It's about being tone deaf to any Anyone that's lesser than you, as this is 'lite' living when it's really living large. And framing this as 'lite' living. You wanna know what's ugly? Not being socially aware enough to understand this it's a 'let them eat cake' type tone deaf tag. "Living Lite"...HAHAHA we have to live in a 500K motor home...we're practically homeless" It's particularly insulting that you just dash to "Well, you're just one of those jealous poor's' thing. Like WTF Queen Marie...Eat your own Cake.
@whatthestuffisthis
@whatthestuffisthis 6 жыл бұрын
Just stop it. That 'turning it around' "oh you be shaming me'. I never said anything about shaming. I just said it's really not living 'lite'. You are the one building a strawman about 'shaming'. It's sad you have to shame other's that don't agree with you. Also...pbs.twimg.com/media/CusBWVpVMAADOqy.jpg As you attempt to make it about ohhhhhhh Feeling. There. Seriously, the first thing that bubbled up out of your mind as a counterpoint to a valid comment about 'living lite' was attacking me as person that's 'poor' and 'low income'. You just assumed that. That was the major insult you came up with . "Well you Poor Person Just Can't Afford Rich People Things"... And the first thing you go after when I make what I and others think a valid criticism about bragging about wealth...was "Fark your feelings" Sure... Be humble in your riches.
@whatthestuffisthis
@whatthestuffisthis 6 жыл бұрын
I'm mearly stating the facts that in history...it's rather tone deaf to dismiss people that can't afford such a thing or do Faux 'proverty' in a 500k home..as "we're living lite'. I mean you got off the rails when someone (Hi There) intoned you're a rich person that can't sympathise with poor people. And the FIRST THING YOU DID...was attack me as "oh well, you're just poor person that's jealous" . Seriously...That's your attack. "You're a Poor Person" yeah...that's a good moral high ground you got there. "We're Rich, You're Jealous Poors" ...Do you even read History books. Because the outcome there isn't that great for people with your attitude.

I just bought a new construction home that’s 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with a 3 car garage for under $300,000. If that tc is really $500,000 why not just purchase a home and travel a lot during the year instead of spending a lot on something that will only depreciate in value? I have watched other full time ever videos and it seems like most of them are getting nice rvs for way under the price of a home which to me makes more sense that it’s more economical feasible for them AND they are able to be mobile.

I love how all these people are all being rude because you have a nice RV/home, I bet your cost of living in there is less than a house or rental in or near any major city and when you get sick of said place you grab your stuff and go. I also like that you respond to even the people who are rude and are very nice and at least in text, don’t seem to take it personally.

+Tom Boyle Hey Tom, make sure to check out the full article. Plenty of solutions laid out that are simple and more suitable for folks that didn’t have parts left over or existing to make their solution (like we did). Best of luck and sorry if the video was confusing, wasn’t our intention.

Tom Boyle I thought the same thing. Usually you primarily see these uber luxurious buses/ coaches used by celebrities, not for long distance transportation but as a portable lounge when filming on location, or musicians using as a hang out for before and after concerts. Gwen Stefani used one similar to this when she traveled with her 3 children. Can you imagine breaking down in this behemoth?? It is beautiful, but if your needs are this extravagant, what’s the point in spending as much if not more then you would a house? A house that would increase in value.RV’s -are like any vehicle in that it goes down in value from the minute you drive off the lot. The tour was ok, but it would have provided more interest if the couple explained how much $ it costs to live full time in this coach. Also, it’s so huge. Where do they normally “dock” for either just overnight or for an extended period. And appropriately, there has to me a down side of some sort. What are their complaints.
@LivinliteNet1
@LivinliteNet1 6 жыл бұрын
Stay tuned, those topics will be covered in future videos and its not nearly as expensive as one would think. As for breaking camp, we can usually do this in about half the time that our friends in a fifth wheel take but each couple is different! Generally we find Class A busses with auto-leveling jacks are much faster to pack up than most other setups. We'll make sure to add your suggestions into future videos.

You certainly generate a lot of comments! I think most commenters wish they could live the life that you do, with a well paying job, a nice motor coach with all the amenities of home, but able to move around the country while you are still young enough to get out, see and do. Obviously, you both set high goals for yourselves for education to allow you to achieve and participate in this “lite-style.” Good for you. Good video. Safe travels. Maybe we will meet someday...

@LivinliteNet1
@LivinliteNet1 6 жыл бұрын
great question. our bus has a tag axle which means there are two sets of wheels (axles) at the back. This combined with our weight of over 40,000 pounds means we feel pretty good in high winds (but we still feel it for sure). We don't typically drive in really bad weather unless we are running from something (like a tornado warning) that would be worst than staying put. Overall, its pretty solid! Let us know if that answered your question.

Rv's are designed to handle highway speeds, so when parked you strategically position the RV to face the right direction into the wind. I have a 4 seasons setup at the campground where I live so I'm parked crossways against the wind, and have a large deck and gazebo right next to my rig that takes all the wind and directs it up over the roof. We only get minor shifting during even the worst windstorms. Alberta winters are damn cold, so insulated skirting is required and several fuel types for heat and backup heat. Propane furnace and electric heaters. It's about - 2F outside right now and we are toasty warm.

LMFAO the jeep as a given away? Come on the BMW is half the cost of the jeep alone. Obviously they do something involving tech that allows them to work remotely. How do they get paid the same way everyone else does Direct deposit. I think most are missing on point this house on wheels is no different then have a stationary home im going to guess they paid around 200 grand for it if that and have the ability to move as they please with no property tax which is huge. Property tax alone saved would cover the gas for the year.

Actually no its not its no more then having a home. In the grand scheme of things they are better off why because they both work from that thing meaning that can deduct part of the space off their taxes, they can also deduct a ton of stuff to maintain that office space. if smart they can also deduct the mileage they put on it during the week for work. Also depending on the city they are in the get a tax break on food deduction per day etc etc. Again not owning a home on land save them big time in property tax which can be used for what ever they want since they dont have to pay it. electricity LOL thats free for them. So they are in a sense making a payment paying gas and maintenance a drop in the bucket compared to all the crap you spend on a home these days. 200 grand for it is a drop in the bucket compared to the average home costing 300 plus give or take.
