I was there for my 60th birthday and I loved it! I loved all the spots you mentioned plus I Loved Bitter End and Saba Rock.

It’s truly an amazing place. It took a long time for Bitter End to reopen but we’re glad they finally did. Thanks for watching!

@@SailingWindTherapy I don't blame you! Especially that mama wanna root one! 😆 🤣 Hey are you guys planning to be in Maine this season? If so, we'd love to buy you a meal. (Not stalking you, really)

@@mytinyretirement we are headed south to Grenada for hurricane season but we will definitely be back in the summer of 2024. We absolutely loved it up there and can’t wait to get back. In May of next year we’ll sail from the Caribbean up to Bermuda, then head up to New England from there. Where are you guys in Maine?

@@SailingWindTherapy We live in Wayne (in a tiny house), about an hour from all things coastal. We just bought our first boat, she's in Harpswell at Great Island Marina for now, but not sure where she'll be after this summer. We'll be somewhere in the Gulf of Maine though, I'm sure. Unless we sink.

BVI sure is sailing paradise! love all your favourite spots and there's more... Cooper Island Beach Club, the Bitter End, Saba rock, b Line on little Jost, .tacking up the Drake....ah take me back! Great to see the islands getting back to awesome after Irma.. Fair winds🙂
@SailingWindTherapy Жыл бұрын
Thanks very much. The interesting part that we have found is that many of the places that have been built back since Irma have gotten quite a bit more fancy. Not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing but it’s just something we have noticed.

Love it. We were just in the BVI in Dec and returning in June. Last cruise before our leopard rolls out of Charter! Great videos keep em coming!

Thanks! We used a great Marine Surveyor when we pulled ours out of charter named Geoff Williams who we highly recommend. Are you going to keep your boat?
@3tsedwards Жыл бұрын
@@SailingWindTherapy I was planning on using Geoff but unfortunately he is ill and must return home. We are looking for a surveyor for the end of June. We are going to keep the boat and plan on moving onboard in late November. Your videos have been great help in preparing for moving aboard. In 2024 we plan on heading south and putting her up on the hard in either the Grenadines or Trinidad for Hurricane season.
@SailingWindTherapy Жыл бұрын
It’s an amazing feeling finally moving onboard. Did you watch our very first video? Oh also if possible see if you can actually be there during the phase out. We made friends with all of the guys working on the boat and they were VERY good to us. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
@3tsedwards Жыл бұрын
@@SailingWindTherapy Yes your video was a HUGE help for us. I would like to do work on the boat before they phase out but they would rather I use local guys. I will use them for somethings but I can do it all and will do much after it is phased out. We will be down in June for the last month before she is phased out, then return in Novemeber as she is getting finished. Then head down the Caribean thinking about getting to Trinidad by june. Need to be out to the H Zone...are you going to put wind thereapy up on the hard in Granada this year?
@SailingWindTherapy Жыл бұрын
@@3tsedwards yes, we’re in Grenada at this very moment prepping for going on the hard. We had to do this a bit earlier that we originally planned because our daughter is having another baby at the end of May.

Hey guys. Great video but I have a question. It looks like you used a sling type arrangement at the end to climb back in the dinghy. Is that something you made or purchased? When we were in the BVIs we struggled to climb back into the dinghy especially in water that was over our heads. It sucks getting older!
@SailingWindTherapy Жыл бұрын
Hi Tim. At West Marine we got this truck strap type of contraption that’s great for helping to get back into the dinghy. I prefer to just kick with my fins on but Adrienne likes the dinghy strap. When we were in the Bahamas, Adrienne rigged a line with a bowline in it to do the same thing but the strap works much better

Have you covered every spot in the BVI yet? If not, sounds like a tough job that somebody should do. 😉☺️😊 Have fun exploring and perhaps there will be another “Best of BVI” in your future. 🤷🏻♀️ Beautiful, interesting and lots of happy to be experienced... with the exception of the snakes and Jeff’s least favorite chair! 🚫🐍🌵🚫 Question... how on earth did you find your dinghy New Years Eve, in the dark, after a bit of revelry, with so many dinghies to choose from? I hope they come with a fob that beeps and flashes baby headlights when you try to unlock them! 😂🤣😂
@SailingWindTherapy Жыл бұрын
Good question! We didn’t actually have our dinghy there. We were in a small marina in the next harbor and took a cab. It was safer that way.
