Beautiful Mostar (Moss-tar, not Mow-star!). I was there in April last year. Loved it. The river looks a slightly different colour from when I was there, when it was a beautiful turquoise. It was also fascinating talking to some of the locals about what it was like living there during the war. Scary times.

I am following your journey through Bosnia and Herzegovina and I must tell you that you have amazed me. I am Bosnian and I have lived in Sarajevo all my life. I watch and listen to you and really enjoy it. You are so positive and make everything you talk about seem magical. What I like most is how you enjoy our kitchen specialties. I will continue to follow you, not only through the Balkans but wherever you go. Big greetings from Sarajevo.

Great video, we visited Mostar just after you guys and used your instagram stories for tips! I was pleasantly surprised with Mostar especially the food! I was also surprised how slippery the bridge was! Tragically somebody I met in Thailand died jumping from this bridge back in 2010, so it is indeed very dangerous.

Great video again, but little correction. Buna isn't underground river, this is one of the shortest rivers in Bosnia, only 9 km. But Buna have ona of the most unique spring, that's the place where you've been. "Vrelo" is a word for spring. "Vrelo Bune" is the most unique spring where whole river came out from the rock. Cheers, and enjoy Bosnia..

I remember my first romantic moments under the bridge and my childhood. I remember all the shops and artists in the old town. I hate the place now! We sold the soul of our city to foreigners! However I hope you guys had a great time.

the reason why nobody is there during those times is the heat, just the heat only. Those 37C, that's a lie. The weatherstation is on a hill where the temperature is lower than in the city. Which means the city usually has around 40-41 and add the real feel to it, approximately 45-46C. People learn from day one not to walk around at those times, it's dangerous cause of the heat hahaha :)

The rivers, the ocean of green, the waterfalls, the old, the new, the pain, the love, the heat, the ions in the air, the kindness, the pure nature that Europe has lost, the collision of religions church’s ringing and mosques calling to prayer, the freedom, the star filled sky’s, the affordability, I could go on. As a Bosnian from the UK you have done an amazing job promoting 🇧🇦. For Great food and view in Mostar there is a restaurant called Taste of Orient right by that Mosque where you went to with the Minaret. A little bit further out to North West Bosnia you have Water rafting and waterfalls by the river Una and in the place of Livno one of few places where you can see wild horses roaming. Keep up the good work.

There is literally no symmetry between the two. Wales is a UK constituent country with its own government and parliament whereas Herzegovina is only a geographical region without even strictly defined geographical or administrative borders. It's even split between the 2 entities in B&H.

That Marriott has been under construction in one way or another for decades. The site is the location of the former Hotel Ruza (Rose), destroyed during the war, and its ruins remained there until about 2001. The land was privatized in shady manner (like many post-war privatizations) and construction of a new hotel started in haste, but was stopped in 2008 following warnings by UNESCO that the construction was inconsistent with the character of Mostar Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marriott got involved in 2015. Its opening was announced for 2019, then 2020, but it has never happened. At this point, it's unfortunately more of an eyesore than anything like a post-war boom.

There were not two sides at war in Mostar, one side attacked and the other defended itself. The Croatian Defense Council or the HVO army wanted to destroy everything associated with Islam, Muslims, and the same army that was convicted in the court in The Hague of joint criminal enterprise demolished the old bridge , all cultural and historical objects, where a large number of citizens also killed. All those who loved Bosnia regadles of religion were their target. The same army terrorized and killed Bosnian citizens and all those who did not share their opinion with them.Croat army together whit Serbian army olso kiled lot of people in some cities. The desire of Serbia and Croatia was to take half Bosnia and to kill all those who are not of the same opinion as them.Thank God Bosnia still exists and all good people are welcome and will always be warmly welcomed, because Bosnians are smiling, friendly and hospitable people andd every guest will be welcomed with open arms❤❤✌✌

Later on so called "Army of BiH" along with islamic terorists from all over the world attacked croatian neighbors in several cities in BiH (Konjic, Jablanica, Travnik, Bugojno, Vitez, Busovača, Novi Travnik, Nova Bila...) to expelled croats from these cities and to spread islam, and they did it in some of this places.

I know you have been getting some flak for your pronunciation of "Sarajevo" and it's unfortunate. I do wish that people had a bit more understanding. It's kind of funny though that no one corrected you while you were in Bosnia, politely of course. For future reference, things are pronounced like they are spelled in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. There is no J that's pronounced H and no C that's pronounced K.

@@dabbleandtravel Yeah accents are a strange thing. My written English is on a decently high level but unfortunately due to my Balkan accent I can't really pronounce certain things well enough. I sound like a Russian when I speak English pretty much. Thankfully I was young enough to where my Swedish escaped the effects of my accent and I can sound just about ethnically Swedish. I enjoyed watching your Bosnia adventures and I thank you for the videos. I haven't been there in a couple of years now and you brought some nice memories back for me.
