OUR SIMPLE SUMMER LEARNING PLANS

Now that the kids are done with most of their extracurricular activities/co-op, we are enjoying the slower and simpler days. The older kids are doing lots of reading with some encouragement from library program incentives, we are enjoying the outdoors and more fun outtings together. I've been hesitant to send the older 2 kids to any summer camps because it ruins the idea of spending quality time together. Although the break for Momma would be nice! 😂 With another baby coming this Fall we really don't have too much time to pause our core math/reading curriculum, so we will continue with that but stop more often to review concepts we notice need more time on.

Our summer plans are getting back into homeschooling after our serious car accident we had on Christmas Day. I'm struggling with homeschooling because of my TBI (I tire easily especially). I'm scared that I won't be able to do homeschooling this year because of it (we started yesterday and it has been a rough start for sure). I only have a few weeks to figure out if I can do this or do I need to put them back into private school this year. Please pray that it smoothes out.

I LOVE that you are doing CBS!! I miss it so much. We had done it when my girls were little and then Covid hit and we didn't join again. Love that those Engage studies are cbs studies. I wish they had a Jeremiah one...

I loaded up on those Humble math books too. I think I may even use them for math next year.
