We always take June off as our "summer" because that's when the fun camps are. This year we are also taking July off though because mama needs a real break after a very hard year

We will be schooling all summer with the exception of trips, we ended up being a month behind our plans due to illness and taking all of December off. But I'm planning lots of fun time as well.

My 5 year old loved TYCTR in 100 East Lesson. I paired this book with Bob Books and this worked very well. I alternated between this book and Hooked on Phonics. This worked well for my little one.

For your daughter to learn to crochet, I cannot recommend the Woobles enough. Pricy compared to other things you found, yes, but the kit is already started for you, so you don't have to struggle with magic loop before getting to actually crochet, and the videos are SO clear and helpful! I've been knitting for 12 years and tried multiple times to learn crochet, from books and from friends, and it didn't stick until I tried the Woobles.

I think we may take a break for the summer. My kids like structure and doing school, so we may do some activities, or do more learning games. They will ask for their workbooks when we don't do school, so I may leave them out if they want to do them.

Hi.. I really appreciate the time you take out to do all your vedios. They are really helpful. I showed my daughter your vedio where your daughter showed her progress after 4th grade year was finished and my daughter, who also likes to write stories, was very excited to see all the creative writing projects that Brielle did. This really inspired her to work on her little stories durimg this coming ssummer vacation. But I am at a loss as to how to proceed, what guidance do I give her to make it work nicely. She does write in her notebook. But she was really inspired to do her own illustrations to follow along with the stiryline, but I feel she feels a little lost as in how to start. If you can may be tell us in this comment or in a vedio perhaps, some ways that Brielle follows or uses to finish such professional looking books of her own, it would be really really a big help. And thanks again, you wouldnot understand,how much help it was for my daughter when she saw Brielle telling her experiences through the various curriculums she finished in a year and her reflections. Keep making such bedios when you can. Thanks again

We live in Alabama, and I feel the same way about the summer! Why not go ahead and start the school year in July when we don't want to be outside cause it's a million degrees?!?!?! Love your channel and all your info! Thank you!

My plan was to start Homeschool/Kindergarten in mid-July, but I think I might have to push it back to August. 🤔 We finished our preschool a little late, and started kindergarten prep a little late, and it was still JUST going to fit in, but my daughter got sick this week and we missed a few days... We aren't doing much for K-prep, but Im torn between "catching up", or just taking our time since our schedule is all arbitrary anyway. 🤔🤷‍♀️

Hey hope all is well! My grandson is going to the third grade and I want to try Saxon math. I know that your oldest daughter did Saxon math. I would like to know do Saxon math covers 3-4 digits, fraction, multiplication, division, money, word problems and perimeters and areas?

Listen!!!!! 🫣The thought of quitting definitely creeps in especially during hard times and seasons. I think that is completely normal.

Oh no been there in public school. No way going back. Find some good Christian camps or good camps in your area this summer. To help you get a good rest. I don’t have grandparents or family and this helps tremendously!
