Thomas Edward. That's very regal, love it. Also love that he's able to have a cute "young" name too while he's a kid.

Congratulations on your newest little addition! Thank you for sharing your story. I don’t have my own human kids (I have furbabies) and I definitely have zero plans to have my own. I still like to hear what this is like for mothers though. You legit go through the worst pain to deliver a beautiful baby. It is truly amazing!

Congratulations on your new baby!! I was 17 when I had my son & had no birth plan, my goal was literally just both of us being healthy after. I had a planned induction out of fear on my end of suddenly going into labor and everything went fine. They started pitocin at 2 AM & he was born at 439 pm. I got my epidural right after they broke my water. My only issue was that they slid me down the bed to begin pushing and it pulled my epidural out. During my stitches of my 3rd degree tear I asked how much longer it would be because I could feel it all and the anesthesiologist told me he was giving as much as he could, as it turns out it was pumping onto the bed.

Congrats he’s so sweet! I recently had my first baby, I ended up with an emergency c-section and he spent the first 3 days in the NICU from a true knot in his cord. I was devastated at the time but now he is healthy and happy and I’m just so grateful to have him. Thanks for sharing your story, he’s beautiful!

I cried a few times watching this, your story was beautiful I am so sorry you had so many trials and tribulations during labor!!! Your little bit at the end about your new purpose in life also made me sob😢 My husband and I aren’t at this point yet, but it makes me even more excited for that day. Your sweet babe is so perfect 💗 thank you for sharing this with us! -From a subscriber who has been around since DIY wedding decor ❤️

Such a gorgeous baby. Congratulations! Fantastic name. Your experience of labour sounds really like mine with my first (horrible early labour, no sleep for 24+ hours, no food for 30+ hours, an epidural that only worked down one side then stopped working while pushing, followed by forceps). We were lucky that he didn’t need oxygen support but he did have an IV for four days. I don’t know if they do it where you are, but where I am in the UK they offer a birth reflections course at the hospital where you can sit down with a midwife for an hour and go through your medical notes and talk about the experience of labour. I found that massively helped me deal with the things I was unhappy with. My second labour also helped - it was so different and more empowering than the first.

Congratulations, Kaylee! I wish you and your baby the best of luck in the future! 🥰I just watched the video yesterday and told my friends about it. I told them that I have this youtuber that I really like and that you are this really down to earth person, living a simple life and that your videos really bring peace to my life. I'm pregnant myself and about to give birth in April, so pregnancy related videos are my jam right now and I'm not going to lie, your video was kind of shocking and eye opening, that it is not all (as you've said) rainbows and petals 😅 The thing is, you're not one of those youtubers that are trying to dramatize things just in order to get more shock value, I believe you are this overall positive, accepting and modest person that does know not everything in life is going to go your way, therefore I trusted your judgment on all this situation, I have really felt your pain listening to it. I am really glad you and your baby got through this experience safe, and I hope it will be a smooth sailing from now on. Take care! ❤

I had a baby girl in September and my epidural only worked on one side of my body since she wasn’t tolerating the contractions when I was laying on my left side. It was so weird having full contractions on one side and completely numb on the other. I had a planned induction at 37 weeks due to complications. Was admitted at 6am and ended up having her by emergency C-section at 10:30pm.

Congratulations! You should just cuddle him all day while you can.I have been watching your channel on and off now for years. I think the first video I watched you, were still in college. LOL Time flies! I wanted to tell you my son is also named Thomas Edward. His full name is Thomas Edward Davies. In my mind someday people will shorten it and say TED for pres. You know when he runs for president. A mom can always fantasize. Thomas is a family name also. The name of a grandfather that was an admiral and set world flight records and Edward was my dad's middle name who passed a long time ago. My son was born during the scarier part of the pandemic before Omnicron was a thing. When you would see people in hazmat suits walking down the hall and scurrying people into rooms. When I delivered they actually told me the maternity ward was full so that once I delivered I would have to be moved to the ICU floor. My son who is my third child was 3 weeks late and when my water broke I literally waited hours until I had my husband drive me into the hospital so I could be there as short a time as possible. So when I got there I asked them if they could give me something to take the edge off the pain and to get me scheduled for an epidural ASAP. So after they put the hep lock/IV in I ask them what they were injecting into it and they told me Fentanyl. I read on the news every day that people die of fentanyl laced drugs. As someone who has never done drugs I was like holy crap is that safe will that cross the placenta?. The weird think is it could hardly touch the pain. I was still in excruciating pain after they gave it to me. My advice to you is to enjoy this time as much as possible. Relax, take it slow. Because having one will be the easiest most relaxing time of your parental o life. You can take quiet walks in the park, you can watch movies with your husband while cuddling the baby, go on trips, go out to dinner. All these things are super easy and peaceful when you have 1 so take advantage of that. Once you have 2 chaos multiplies exponentially especially when they both can run around and get into trouble.
