Boris Johnson is the best! He was (is) a great leader comparable to Zelenskyy. Especially with the concerns of Ukraine. I do wish we (US) were the focus of your admiration, but the Brits are great people and always have been. Insightful as well. Plus, they're doings get the French motivated to do better as well. It was nice to see you smiling, spring seems to suit you. I hope your time in the US was beneficial for you. It certainly was for us and everyone down there. Thank you!

I am glad you have met many good people in other countries. I have found in traveling that most people are good and helpful. I support Ukraine and on 10 June I start summer school at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv for 6 weeks to study your language and culture. It has been over 20 years since I have been to Ukraine and this is my first commercial airplane flight since before Covid. I want to meet as many people as possible and support the heroes. That Lviv Girl, I wish the public would be told around the world about the Budapest Memorandum Agreement signed by the United States, Great Britain, France, and Russia. It should be honored no matter what, since Putin broke that agreement in 2014, going into Crimea. Essentially, the agreement was made that Ukraine would give up its nukes, in exchange for Ukraine's borders remaining sovereign and not infringed upon. If Ukraine had not given up those nukes, when the Soviet Union empire was broken up, Russia would have never invaded. Ukraine was listed as the third, behind the USA and Russia in nuke capability. Putin should not ever be trusted. Treaties, even the proliferation treaties they had with the USA, Putin would break them, and continue to manufacture them secretly while the USA would have stopped. I believe Ukraine will win the war eventually, one way or the other. Trump will win decisively and will help. The only thing I like about Biden is his funding to Ukraine, though he is controlled by his party to slow-walk everything. Even at the beginning if planes were given to them could have changed the tide of the war more decisively. It had been said secretly that Trump told Putin not to invade Ukraine. Then he said to him..."You SEE THOSE RED FLAGS ON MOSCOW SQUARE? THEY WILL NOT BE THERE" ....Putin says to him, you would not do that..Trump walked away and put at least 10% doubt in Putin's mind.

In 2014, as the result of an unconstitutional overthrow of the Ukrainian government, the state that signed the Budapest memorandum on behalf of Ukraine ceased to exist. The last elected government of that state exists in exile, in the persona of ex-President Yanukovich who remains the sole legal successor to the Ukrainian government that was party to the Budapest agreement. Haven't seen Yanukovich complain about the Russian control of Crimea. You are free to go.

the main difference how British people stand towards Ukraine as one can take from following British outlets here on KZbin seems to be that everything is based on genuine empathy. That is likely why milestones in British support from the viewpoint of the waverers and risk calculators elsewhere have all the time been risky. It starts with the anti-tank weaponry, with BoJo turning up in Kyiv just after the siege, up to now green lighting strikes with British supplied missiles in RuZZian rear areas. Key part of that is as well the common rhetoric: Clear condemnation of the evil, putting flaws of Ukraine in perspective. In every decision of Britain towards Ukraine own risks have been second to the clear goal. And the goal got more often and more clear mentioned in Britain then elsewhere - drive the aggressors out and prevent them from doing it ever again. I am not aware of any negotiation phantasies from any major British actor. Where does that come from? Is it, because Brits KNOW and remember what it is like to get brutally attacked? Is it because of their inherited sailors attitude, to put everything behind when there is a capsized ship nearby? That BoJo-quote with the (non.sensical ...) "European commonwealth" shows the historic twists in all of this: Ukrainians want to remain free and democratic, get closer to Europe, stated in the aim for accession into the (wonderful but yes not flawless) EU. It will get a boost for the EU, the engine in innovation and commitment and an industrial powerhouse. If it can do so, meaning if it prevailed, it will have been because of Britain! Britain that just left the EU, led by BoJo, having its reckoning with its lonely journey on the rough world waters. One of the key issues Brexiteers had with the EU was the power concentration between Paris and Berlin. With Ukraine in the EU and in light of the recent evolution of the eastern and north-eastern member states to much more influence, that power concentration de facto is leveled. So - what a beautiful story would that be if as kind of a result of Ukraine's victory and accession to the EU Brits and your friends there would get invited and given very low criteria to re-join again... ? Side story concerning British empathy with Ukraine: Remember Queens birthday summer 2022 - her tea with Paddington Bear: What colors did her dress have? The ones of commitment to freedom, dignity and decency: Blue and Yellow. Who gives Paddington Bear his voice in Ukrainian? President Zelenskyy...
