Riley and Elayna Your positive attitude serves you well, and you followed your intuition. I feel this will be a wonderful outcome for all involved, creator and users alike. Congratulations to all involve for sticking it out, you have dropped comments and hints from time to time and now it becomes real. What a wonderful name for the App “Sea People” even the name is a very good choice. BTW your App will need to evolve, have patience and an Open Mind, go with the flow of what feels right, piece of mind and a calm disposition will serve you well. I for one will be sitting back and nodding my head and wishing you well!

As someone who has worked in software development for over 13 years - and now manages software Engineers - this was FASCINATING to see it from the perspective of the original idea. Congrats on the app and its success so far! 💜 I downloaded it in Beta and reported a couple bugs (bc that's just what I do haha) and see they've already been fixed, which means the team you have on it now is doing a great job!! 🥰

Awww, you're a better person than me! 30 yrs in software development and I stood back, letting them make the mistakes without my interference! I haven't yet looked at it. Side issue: I was slightly involved in the first outsourcing the coding of some systems for a well known British flag carrying airline to India: lots of issues, lots of passionate desire to do well without the necessary technical and industry knowledge, and strange working hours. Interesting times.

A great story, with so many truths about creating a startup, and developing software, eg especially 'Plan to build two systems, because you will end up throwing the first version away anyway." etc. I am so pleased that they got top experienced help before the venture went too pear-shaped. Perhaps they could have reached out / networked a bit more a bit earlier, but that is too easy to say. I am looking forward to spending some time with the app.

One thing to keep in mind is data security as you will be reporting and storing data location on people. If that is compromised it could put people's lives at risk. Everything the app does which helps people meet and connect can also be used to stalk, steal identities, theft, or even kidnap. Finding the right balance of features and security will be critical. Hopefully you have created a feature where people can "go dark" for periods of time for their own privacy or security.

To build a big community through a passion for sailing, to make that community thrive through connection on youtube then to address the real communities which you have experienced through the thousands of people you have met and build an app that promotes a lifestyle which says "get off your device and meet people face to face!" strikes such a callback to how life used to be. Coming from Tech, I have a question that I would appreciate having an answer for (even though that I know it’s highly likely that I won’t get an answer for it) Before I get too invested into the app, what’s your plan to actually monetize it? I’m assuming investors actually want a return on their investment. And server costs and developer/maintenance costs aren’t cheap either. Are you guys planning an exit? What I don’t want is to start using this app and then slowly, the app getting shittier with monetization strategies that make the experience terrible.

Congratulations on seeing your ideas come to fruition! We are almost the farthest we can be from the ocean where we live in Canada, but do love watching your videos to get a taste of what the boating life would be like. Time spent on our kayaks is the closest we will get to boating.

AMAZING! Huge, huge props to all of you for birthing this idea, and to the universe for sending you Jean-Michel to realize it into existence. Thank you for being your truest selves so that your ideas and passions can fully flourish. xoxo, from California.

Cinematography ,edit and storytelling are even more impressive here. Good job both with the video and the app. Nice wolf of wallstreet homage :D
