This video brought back many memories. Congratulations from someone who's going to make similar move to Canada as I became a PR recently.

Hi Chaithanya, No, our priority date is Dec 2012 and there’s no chance for it to become current anytime soon, unless there is a real policy change. Thanks for watching!

Great video guys!! We are in the same boat. Hoping to move soon. Wondering what kind of shared feelings did you guys go through after you settled down at your first Canadian home?
@kuriousminds20194 жыл бұрын
Hi Arun, To be honest, we have mixed feelings. On one hand, the peace of mind of having a PR and on the other hand being in a different city, and neighborhood, no friends, and certain things that you get used over the years. But, overall we feel good due to uncertain H1B future and constant looking over the shoulder with visa status.

@@kuriousminds2019 Nothing can beat a sense of belonging. You guys seem like nice people. You will make lots of friends and will love the move you made. Imagine all the nonsensical immigration hurdles you don't have to deal with anytime in the future..

Thank you sir for detail and clear explanation. Just one query which I have right now is - I am in India with stamped visa upto 31 nov for collierville but my work location is changed in this month and it is pensellveniya. So in this case I need to filled amendment and extension. It will be any problem to get visa stamping for penesiveniya location? Can visa stamping possible right now ? Can I travel before December to USA ?
@kuriousminds20194 жыл бұрын
Hi Ashish, please call me Mukesh. As of now, what I understand after talking to my immigration attorney is that individuals with stamped H1B visa should not have any problem to enter the US. But, I will be able to tell you for sure in a couple days once I cross the border at least once after the executive order is effective. Since, your situation is a little more complicated by the fact that you have to file an amendment, you will have to talk to your immigration attorney or pay for an attorney consultation and get your specific answers. If there is an option to delay the amendment, that might be worth considering. But, have a discussion with your attorney and your company and then go ahead whatever they suggest. Good luck!

@@kuriousminds2019 Thank you so much mukesh for your quick response and details explanation. But why you are saying like if there is an option to delay the amendment that might be worth considering ? I didn't get the context could you please help me with this ?

I wasn’t sure in your case if there was an option for postponing the amendment or not. That’s why..

where healthcare is best us or canada?and is heaLth insurance required in canada ?
@kuriousminds20194 жыл бұрын
Hi, US and Canadian healthcare systems are completely different. US is private health insurance industry, whereas Canada has socialized medicine covered through national program (mostly free except vision, dental and additional benefits). In US, a typical family of 4 might end up paying 1000$ a month in health insurance, 12K yearly plus the co-pay and deductible amounts. But, on the other hand there’s almost no waiting for elective procedures as opposed to the Canadian health system. So, both have pros and cons..
