Hold up did y’all really say that EM is known for going at the biggest rappers? I would say that’s completely FALSE. When he first came out he was going at non rappers/easy targets. Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, *NSYNC and POP white singers. MJ was the first blk artist he made fun of and the only bigger rapper he dissed at the time was Ja Rule, but that was like beating a dead horse at that point since he was pretty much already done for his battle with 50. You can’t even count Benzeno cuz he wasn’t a top rapper and most of Ems audiences didn’t know who he was. Em never went at Jay-Z, Nas, Nelly, Wayne, Luda, Kanye, any Wu Tang members, 3000, or any of the big rappers who were out during 98-04. There was also ALOT of weak ass rappers in the mid/late 2000s that he never said shit about. My point is Eminem picks and choose his battles, usually against a easy opponent he’s NEVER went at the top guys at the time. Nobody considers Tyler a top rapper or a threat in anyway, Joe is retired, Drake is the EASIEST target of all time(who he never went at when he was coming up but actually did a song with him) and MGK was mostly irrelevant until now. Granted I don’t think Rap Devil is all that I don’t really like Not Alike either. I think Kamikaze as a whole is super overrated it’s not bad per se but it’s not as great as everyone’s making it out to be but that aside a lot of the best diss tracks aren’t really about who can out bar who but who can lay the most disrespect at the other person. Totally disagree MGK came at Em's neck and gave him fire. MGK basically summed up how a lot of folk have been feeling about Em since Encore. I strongly dislike so called underground rappers' inclination to insult mainstream hip-hop, while saying and doing absolutely nothing new with their platform.
