Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

Wow ... Great bonding. I am being addicted to this channel. I too have all these domestic animals including cows,pigeon, pigs and ducks. But they generally on their own. My Cows and goats comes at night to rest. We dont use goats milk. We use cow milk for different purposes.. Love the bonding you share with them. Lots of love from India

I am in Albuquerque and stored my carrots and potatoes in my old fridge this year. I put dry sand in a big tupperware for the carrots. The potatoes go in shallow tupperware, no sand, not touching. Worked great.

I would reccomend making kale chips with the extra kale: Just lay the leaves out on a baking sheet, cover with olive oil and salt, and bake until crispy. I actually hate kale, but I really like these, so consider giving them a try!

I blend make a mixture of cashews and lime juice to coat them before dehydrating them. Never have leftovers with the kale chips 😋

@@vitalricecakes8274 Cheesy Kale Chips 3 c cashews (soak 3 hrs and discard liquid) 1/2 c lemon or lime juice 3 cloves garlic 2 Tbsp paprika 2 1/2 c water 1/2 tsp salt Blend in blender. Pour over 2 bunches of washed and torn kale. Mix well. Place onto dehydrator trays and dehydrate for about 6 hrs on 115° F. These are super tasty! Enjoy!!

Salad suggestion. Diced sweet potatoes & black beans (drain and rinse beans). Drizzle olive oil over that, salt n pepper. Bake till sweet potatoes are tender. Roll kale up n slice thin. Olive oil salt n pepper. Mix together. Dressing is olive oil, balsamic vinegar & a little sugar. Mix all with fork. Great as a salad.
