7:23 I think that part of what makes Balcones Distilling's Texas Pot Still Bourbon and Baby Blue corn whisky so good is the *roasted* Texas blue corn they use. There are other factors, of course (and I've done a Thoroughly Amateur™️ video on what I call "the Balcones touch 🙂), but I think the corn is important.

We just havent been real enthused to chase down a lot allocation and pay the crazy prices... just to get it home and either be upset that the whiskey didnt live up to the hype, or feel guilty about drinking a whiskey that we spent too much money on. 😎🥃

Great list. I have and love the 70th and the JEP Decanter. Other favorites are the Rebecca Creek Spanish Oak, Journeyman Corsets Whips and Whiskey, Larceny A124, ECSBBP and the JDSBBP

Hey Laura and Troy James E. Pepper, WT 70th I Enjoy , I did get Smokeye have not opened yet, I do like the Peerless D/O Rye .... Now I received my Westward from Sean ,,,, New Years Day I had one pour from each bottle so far my favorite is the Brownie .... to me like a Chocolate Malt ,, The Cherry I taste but I also taste some sort of bitter note not sure what ... I'am not that great with all sorts of notes ..... But still have plenty of it to go and I want to do the blend also .... Thanks

WT 70th 8yr bottle tastes like WT 101 of old, deep flavors and color, 101 tastes so thin to me anymore 🤔 . Peerless products just sit on the shelf in mid michigan, maybe its more than the price 🫣 . Good list and Cheers 👍🥃💯
