Love that Kansas debut. One of my favourites by them tbh. Great to see Rory G get some love. Saw VH support Sabs. They were brilliant. Guitar tone on that VH debut is incredible. Montrose debut is immense. The first band I ever saw live! They supported Quo. Checked the undubbed versions on KZbin of those Montrose classics. Brilliant. Black sabbath by black sabbath is my favourite Sabs song. Got loads of Wishbone ash. Underrated for me. BOC first album is great. I love that band. Fabulous show chaps. Loved it. Cheers, chris

10 - Talking Heads - Talking Heads 77 9 - Pearl Jam - Ten 8 - Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn 7 - Jo Jo Gunne - Jo Jo Gunne 6 - The Doors - The Doors 5 - Lynyrd Skynyrd - Pronounced 4 - The Band - Music From Big Pink 3 - Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin 2 - Steely Dan - Can’t Buy a Thrill * 1 - Chicago - Chicago Transit Authority * Aside from how great it is, one of the reasons Chicago Transit Authority is my #1 (before they were legally forced to shorten their name to Chicago) is the temerity (balls) to put out a double album for their debut. Like who does that? And they followed it up with Chicago II and Chicago III which were ALSO double albums and also great (but not as good as the debut IMO). Honorable mentions go to a couple of artists who were previously with very famous bands but these were their debut solos. George Harrison - All Things Must Pass and Peter Gabriel - Peter Gabriel (aka 1 or “Car”). Also, although Crosby Stills and Nash had previously put out an album, this was the first CSNY album featuring Neil Young - Deja Vu. So kind of a debut of sorts. Great album nonetheless.

@@CloseToTheEdge-Prog Wow…I have heard some of that Zappa album but I do not own it and love Frank Zappa. I will have to check it out more. I was not aware it was a double! Re Chicago: Check out anything up till when their lead guitarist Terry Kath died in 1978 (self inflicted accidental gunshot wound). He was a severely underrated guitarist (check out 25 or 6 to 4 live at Tanglewood from 1970 for an amazing guitar solo). After Terry Kath died, they became pretty sappy AOR.
