New Subscriber. It is nice to watch a video about coffee mugs from someone that actually sells coffee mugs. I don't like when people pull up the sold comps and talk about the most expensive mugs. I can do that myself. I like to hear about the sellers experience finding and selling them. Great job.

Your great! Clear spoken, polite and informative. Your saving people's time and inspiring them to get out and look! I resell to make money, but the items bought are often important and well cared for by buyers. Your willingness to help help other find items is appreciated. Thank you so much.

I sold an Emma Bridgewater mug recently. It literally sold in 10 minutes for $40. I was really pleased! I think anything from that maker would do well. I sold some dented scratched up tins by them once for $25 lol. Mug brands I've done well with are Padilla mugs an Mara mugs ... both Mexican pottery. I had bought them all for myself but as it sometimes goes I realized I had too many mugs and sold some to narrow down my collection. The Mara mugs aren't vintage but they still did well. I have one with a VW bus on it that I'll never give up though

Mara mugs were in my notes but I just didn't have time to get to them! I've heard Padilla were good too....haven't found any at good prices yet!

Hi, new subscriber and new to contemplating getting serious selling on EBay. Wasn’t going to get into mugs, but this might have changed my mind. Another name in handmade pottery to look out for is Edwina Bringle. ANY of her work. It does not have to be vintage. She’s in Penland, NC.

Hi - Found your KZbin channel a few days ago. I used to follow your Recylista blog years ago and I’m happy to be reacquainted with you. A mug brand that I’ve sold several times in the past is Laurel Burch - not only mugs but also jewelry and plates (usually with a cat theme).

Great video. I'm a new subscriber. Question please: Where exactly do you find most of these coffee mugs: garage sales or thrift stores? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@pishposhreselling Жыл бұрын
I am generally more of a thrift store shopper over the years. Lately have done more yard sales but the season is short here. So probably more have been found at thrifts. Cheaper at yard sales though!

Coffee mugs are not a mainstay for me, but I do look at them. Dutch Wax is one I like selling but don't find very often. Not high value, but worth it for me.

Great video! A couple points about Taylor & Ng, really important for people new to these mugs: - The value of the mugs shown here are for VINTAGE mugs only - they were sold in the 70s through the early 90s. These are heavier, larger, and can be identified by a circular "JAPAN" mark on the bottom. The company re-formed (sort of) in the 2000s and has been producing re-issues of many of their most popular styles, these are not Made In Japan, they are Made in China, smaller, and lighter weight. These are NOT valuable. (Well, not to vintage collectors) -- I've actually seen people selling the modern re-issues for the prices of the vintage ones, either because they don't know better or they're trying to take advantage. So BEWARE. - As for the pricing, yes, it's not your imagination! The prices have nearly doubled in the last couple years. Blew me away when I started seeing it.

Hi, also new subscriber watching from UK, great content. I have some mugs, Snail Mugs from Circo Fortuna by Bellini made in Italy exact same as Starbucks but they do not have Starbucks on them any ideas?
@pishposhreselling Жыл бұрын
The older Starbucks mugs I've seen by some of those Italian pottery companies also said Starbucks on the bottom. That's all I know! I bet they'd sell anyway!
