Another great blog from you both and I will agree with you on the Alde central heating eating the gas, I have used 2 gas bottles up not realising I left the gas on at the control panel. Well hope you have a great trip over to Europe and I will be waiting for this blog. Take care and stay safe

Hi we are happy you enjoyed the video, as you know it eats the gas that’s why we swear by safefill bottles 👍

We bought outside window screens to replace the internal ones but we reverted back to the internal ones, particularly in high winds as they flap, making noise and keeping you awake. They also get soaking wet, which is very inconvenient and they damage the paint in high winds also because grit gets under the screens in the wind and makes the exterior screens into a sanding block, particularly on pitches near the beach. If you have a diesel heater with a thermostat, the van is perceptively just as warm with the internal covers anyway and you don't have to go out into inclement weather to fit or remove them. On charging the ecoflow through the cigar lighter, it is better to limit the charge current from the alternator, to suit the vehicle's fused current limit, which can be surpassed, if the ecoflow is set to charge at too high a current.
@RobandLynnontourАй бұрын
Hi , we have never had a issue with the screen cover flapping about they have Velcro tie downs on them also it has done absolutely nothing to our paint work in 4 years of using it anyway everyone to their own as they say, regarding the alternator charger it it’s way more efficient than just plugging it into a cigarette charger, we can control exactly what power goes into it we can’t praise it enough amazing bit of kit, anyway thanks for your comment we hope you enjoyed the vlog 👍

Some great reminders for winter use of motorhome. Had a broken front window and you do loss the sticker. The replacement of rear view mirror was simply done by the fitter. Small crack and by the end of day three had traveled up the window but was ok to drive as window is laminated. Ended up putting some super glue along the crack just in case. was in Spain at the time.

Great tips, the refillable gas bottles are a must, as yiu know we don't get to travel much but I would say it's already paid off, especially as gas here is £1.29 per litre, was 99p a few weeks ago. We may get one more trip in this year 🤞

After having slip mats and discovering how useless they are and talking to people who have been rallying over 20 years, I use bread crates and they are excellent. I put them under the back wheels aswell which stops the rear tyres sinking in. I have an unlimited supply of bread crates if you're ever passing Preston or if you're stuck for some I can post?

Rob, check the length of the cables on your jump starter, we have a very similar model, when I went to us it on our Autosleeper I found that the earth point was in the centre of the engine compartment and live was some distance away by the near side wing and the cables weren’t long enough to reach both points. Yours may be different but it’s worth checking before you need to use it to jumpstart.
