Lovely Ep and places guys, We own a old 1983 Windup Jayco, We tow it everywhere, With Jayco's go buy a tube of Sika and every screw you can screw it out , Take it out put sika on the tread and screw it back it, And double lock nut everything you can fit two Nuts on,

Love Streaky my mums hometown lots of family still over there. As a kid in the 60s and 70s we used to go back for visits swimming off the jetty in the shark proof pool perlubie beach awesome place many great memories . Loved watching

We have found that the Jayco is made to a price point and a great van for a weekend trip, we had a pop top and kept breaking things just on weekend trips. We now pay the extra and have bought Ausie made and find things much better. Thanks for sharing and providing good entertainment hope you continue to have fun and sharing you lifestyle.

We did come into this with expectations of this kind of stuff happening, but is happening a little more frequently than we would like. Still having a bloody amazing time, and it’s so worth putting up with the little frustrations to experience the places we are getting to see!

Hmmmm one of those things and you hit the nail on the head - pay for what you get… A couple of remote tour guides/operators only permit a few Aussie made vans that are known for their build quality. Does not mean you will not have a great time and make memories along the way! Thanks for the vid guys and so glad to see your doing it and sharing the experience!

Hi Guys, you don’t need to answer this online, but can you trade up to a sturdier van that will cope with the rough stuff and corrugations, so you can continue your travels without the concerns of more breakages and possible depreciation financially. Love to see you thrive as a young family, and not stress because of your van being more suitable to comfortable settings only. Cheers from QLD.

Thanks for watching legend!! Appreciate the care!! It’s definitely something we have spoken about and will consider next year. Logistically it won’t be the easiest thing to do while we travel, but is definitely something we are open to doing. Most of the issues seem to be screws rattling loose. Would be interesting to know how common this is with other brand caravans and if it’s something that just doesn’t get spoken about often. Most of the issues are pretty minor and we are just having to replace screws etc (we are getting quite a collection of screws in our kit from outback hardware stores haha). At the end of the day it isn’t the biggest deal, just a little frustrating sometimes.

@@RoamingCoastlinesmaybe letting tyres down on the van when doing corrigations etc will help. No need to "upgrade aka get into 100k + debt on a van"

Mate thanks so much, appreciate you taking the time! I was also really impressed with how they were performing. We have 500w on the roof and we also plug in a 200w portable panel! Seems to be about the right amount for our usage
