Watching this game satisfies that primal fighting game player instinct to seek out and indulge in kusoge. Explosive and incomprehensible neutral exchanges, cheap mixups, TODs, massive damage throw starter combos and active tag to assists. It has rollback and crossplay too. I've been watching it more since Frosty Faustings Online, but I really gotta make the jump and pick this one up while I wait for Strive.

It’s definitely an odd game compared to others on the visuals and presentation area. It’s overall visuals and audio design aren’t crazy, and you can tell the team works with a limited budget. However, the game does so much other stuff right! Good rollback, easy and quick lobbies, crossplay for ALL platforms, and controls that are really easy to pick up with crazy amounts of depth! Plus, the developers aren’t just focused on using the power rangers brand to bring casuals as their cash cow (like arena fighters I guess). They support a competitive circuit, which I think is pretty impressive for a game this size! I’d say wait for a decent sale and give it a shot! It’s on every platform and goes on sale every so often 👍

Game looks cool, but seeing in close infinites and full screen projectile lockdown really kills any appeal for old school gamers like myself. And don't get me wrong, I'm all for godlike techniques required extended combos, but full screen projectile flooding and infinites that are pattern based, really hurts the depth of this game. It's like a cross between MvC and Injustice. Vampire Savior is such an old school game that did so many things right, and yet none of it transferred to modern fighting games other than chain combos and rushdown... that lead to janky pattern input infinites nowadays. I guess if that's the main appeal to modern FGC players, enjoy my friends.
