I think solar systems are great! Thanks for the tour of yours. I am an artist and I share my painting demos and studio tours here. So much variety on KZbin. Cheers on a Wednesday.

Thanks for posting. Looks great. I'm curious why the 2kw panel's aren't charging the titan? Unless the solar panels aren't hooked up....anyway good job on build.

I can see you are so excited and proud as you should. Good job. I’m looking for a titan for My house and a similar battery system, but I’m thinking I’d like to have 48v system if possible, just for more power. Is that possible with titan or do you know? I’m thinking solar panels like 340 watt ones but I love your set up w the 4x4 system. Great Job I’m proud of you guys and I don’t even know you, lol. Love your attitude!

So to be clear, this system runs permanently. As in, you're not using it as a back up? I've been trying to figure out what I need for my off grid property. Every time I read or watch something on the Titan it's always; "I would only use it for back up in case the electricity goes out". I'm not sure why people say that, and I'm not sure what the difference between this generator system and a piece together system. Why someone would not use the Titan in the same way. Hope that makes sense and if you could elaborate on what your opinion is , I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Tcg I have 2 Titans and 5 batteries, 1 will run my total electric house minus water heater stove dryer and central air. But it will power window units, 2600 sq ft house. I love them, but for the power and the money, for off grid I'd probably go with EG4 setup

I just received my Titan with 3 batteries. Going to have 4000w of panels. What gauge cable did you run to your house? My panels are going to be about 350 ft from my house. I’m wondering what gauge I should use.

Im using 8AWG just for safety sake, a little over kill but better safe that sorry. I ordered my wire from windynation, it can be direct buried. Im still waiting on my Titan delivery, I ordered March 7th 2022. When did you order???

I ordered mine December 23rd 2021 and received it March 28th. They told me to expect it in May but received it earlier. Haven’t ordered my panels yet. Trying to find the best ones for the best price. Are you getting panels with your order. If not where are you getting yours. I’m looking for 200W panels. That’s the same company I’m getting my cables.

@@umtigerfan28 Point Zero Energy said mine would ship the 3 or 4 week of April. I got my panels from NewPowa and Rich Solar. NewPowa are cheaper and they have discount codes all the time, they are very well packed and fast shipping, Rich Solar is also very good and fast shipping but rarely have discount codes. All the panels I purchased are 100W.

Dude I don’t know where you looked for your solar gear but I put these in all over the south. If you paid $7500 for 2kw of panels you got hosed. Plus you had to do the work. We could have installed a 5000 watt system for you plus a 5kw inverter and 280WH of Lifepo4 batteries. You really need to check around if you expand. Whoever sold you that mess really hosed you. Yes even 18 months ago we could have done it

@dalewilmot2612
@dalewilmot2612 2 жыл бұрын
I'm assuming the 280WH figure was a typo. The Titan system with 3 batteries has 6000WH of capacity. I own a total of nine solar generators purchased over the last couple of years from various manufacturers including a Titan, and I totally agree that the Titan is the best unit. I also live in Florida and have a slightly larger total solar input. I live full time in a RV and the Titan with its TT-30 receptacle can easily power everything including rooftop a/c and all appliances and lighting. It's a great unit.

@@dalewilmot2612 I agree with you. The Titan is the best. I have 3 batteries and 2500w of solar. We use it for our cabin and RV. I love that it is portable. The solar panels that come with the Titan are far better than most panels on the market too. I think I will pass on John's system.

@acefire4050
@acefire4050 2 жыл бұрын
I have a question for you I don't really like kind of what solar panels but that's all I can find around where I live my problem is I don't like really 100 Watts solar panels even though the harbor freight does have 100 watts of panels that work a little better than 100 Watts solar panels people that keep behind what solar panels even if they don't want them make them more and more important to New world I don't know if it's because you can't get anything better than her what solar panels sometimes or is it that you have to have more hundred what solar panels because the fact that you need then to get a couple 300 watt panel or a couple 500 watt panel or a couple 600 Watt solar panels. I don't get the idea to feed the companies with something you really don't want expressing that you more wanted than you do not want can you explain that to me. I don't have enough room to put nothing but 100 watt solar panels to run all the power I need I need bigger solar panels for more power than 100 watts can give me I can go with 300 watts I can go with 275 Watts I can go with 400 watts but what I really want is 535 Watts or 600 watts solar panels but to find those is not always an easy thing to do I have no 535 Watts silicone I have no 600 what solar panels but I do have four 405 Watt solar panels and have some smaller solar panels but I have no 300 what solar panels either but I do have two 150 watt solar panels and smaller solar panels. But all in all I have 2,600 watts of solar it is not enough it won't even run my electric kitchen stove unless I save up power but they don't got powerful rest of anything else.
@jimmyfraser11

I would do away with the electric stove and replace it with a gas stove. We did that. We pay about $150/year to cook all we want. Gas stove are WAY BETTER than electric. Also when the power goes out..you're still cooking..no problem.
@acefire4050

Oh what you have is a generator electric generator you don't actually have a solar system set for calling your house you have a solar system set for your generator to power your house I'm surprised didn't offer you 200 watt solar panels. But I do understand the solar panels for generators are actually better solar panels than what anybody else can get for house solar panels generated solar panels seem to make more electricity for the electric generators then the solar panels get for your houses to power your house for your house system. But I suppose you go out and buy a better generator electric generator that does even better than that one does with probably 200 Watts solar panels I'm thinking about getting myself one of those sets if I ever can come up with the money for it I don't know if it's going to be a Titan or blue Eddie 300 or 200 blue Eddie or a Delta I don't know I think it's called a Delta pro but there's another one I heard of that's probably even better than that when I'm thinking more or less I probably should get but I want to get it with their solar panels because they're solar panels work better than other solar panels you get at the exact same wattage.
@jimmyfraser11

Yes that's correct. This system is solar powered for our solar generator that we can plug items into as needed. On our next to around I will probably hard wire the solar system to the actual house and not a generator. It's a learning process. ❤️
