The Donna Kay is an abandoned shrimping boat located on Cape San Blas just outside of Port St. Joe in Gulf County, Florida. This is our walk to and from the boat.
The Donna Kay has become a sort of monument for beach walkers around Port St. Joe. It's a shrimp boat that was beached and then given up on and has been left on the beach since just before Hurricane Michael hit in the fall of 2018.

@@EdsEverydayAdventures is it near the park or near the highway? I keep getting mixed signals.

@@melindaallen997 The rock wall along 30 is east or you can access the beach from the park and walk to it. Both are correct. We normally park at the rock wall

We were told by locals that the captain had a heart attack the night of the storm, sleeping in the bay. We were there the next day helping.

First rumor of a heart attack. Lots of rumors he’s passed away now but don’t believe that’s true either. The boat actually didn’t even have its accident until after hurricane Michael we found out.

Yes, she’s still there. Rumors it will be moved but no idea if it’s true. But we were on the beach yesterday and it was there

Actually washed ashore in November 2018 well after Hurricane Michael made landfall

We went off some online reports, history of the area buffs and things like that and the folks that lived there saying it prior to Michael and how Michael pushed it further in. Thanks for the info, will let the locals know you said it wasn't there til later. Maybe they can check their notes for us. Been hoping to see the log book and do another updated video. Some locals have agreed with you though. We were there a few months before and not until almost a year after Michael....now we live here, but no idea of exactly when.

@@EdsEverydayAdventures You'd be suprised how many locals swear it was there before or due to Michael. I can tell you specifically where it was located when Michael made landfall and assure you that it wasn't anywhere near the Cape or in the Gulf of Mexico. Same locals would tell you the owner is deceased as well which is irrelevant. Regardless enjoyed the video

@@brendanblackwell7635 Thanks Brendan. I would love to do a CORRECT video of how it got there honestly. Yes, heard the captain was deceased but also heard that was false information. I'd have fun doing an actual mini documentary of it. Thanks for some more information on it, really do appreciate it!

4:09 It's hard to believe Cape San Blas has that much more of a tidal range than Panama City has. 7:09 Name the stock agencies, help a wannabe freelancer out.
