Glad to finally find a video of someone else going with a restaurant as the “ reception/ meal “ Im getting married at our church which is pretty small and I want to just rent a private room at a nice steak house for tops 38 people ( we are gonna have people pay for themselves though which I know many people think is tacky but it’s not in our budget . )

So glad I could help! The location & price was unbeatable for me. The only thing I didn’t like was that their event coordinator wasn’t there the day of so some things got lost in translation to the staff that was helping set everything up. For example, we rented white napkins and they had put out the usual black ones that come with the venue. We just had to be very vocal and hands on with the detailed stuff, but if you don’t mind that then it’s not so bad! You can also hire a day of wedding coordinator to handle all of that stuff for you if you want a more hands off experience.

Yes! We only had our immediate families there due to how things were at the time with COVID. I’m Mexican too and my husband is Salvadoran so I feel you on the 300 minimum, we never heard the end of it with our moms they definitely wanted a party haha

We were lucky enough to have friends that provided that service at a small discount. We also only needed 2 hours coverage for photos + a highlight video, total was $600.

Where did you find the officiant? And how much was that service?

I found him on The Knot! It was $250 for what he called an "elopement" plan. A much simpler/shorter version of what a longer ceremony would be. Our ceremony was only 10-15 minutes.
