We do leftovers on Saturday and Sunday nights. I cook full meals Monday through Friday and whatever is left is dinner for Saturday and Sunday or you can fix a sandwich and have raw veggies and fruit with it.

We used to do the same thing. Usually Friday or Saturday we had left overs. I'm by myself now. I bring all my left overs to work with me Monday and I eat whatever it is.

I might try making that bread as my son got me a dutch oven for Christmas a few years ago and I haven't used it much. Plus fresh bread! Lol

I’ve been wanting to try some too. Frugal fit mom has a no need artesian bread that’s basically water yeast flour and salt maybe. Look’s easy…

I missed it on her channel tho I am subscribed thanks for mentioning it.

Just wondering why you don't seem to have carrots or pumkin or butternut squash or even beats I was taught to try to have a rainbow of colour on your plate most meals, not trying to judge but wondering why. Blessings to you all.
@weepingwillowhomestead9 ай бұрын
We do eat carrots fairly often just haven't much lately. Pumpkin and butternut squash are pretty high in carbohydrates. I do serve butternut squash more often when we get a good harvest but last year's plants all got taken out by squash beetles. Beets are as well and I have tried fixing beet umpteen ways and still think they taste like dirt. Lol

I've been watching for quite a few weeks now and I'm surprised to see not even one dish made from the lentils. Have you not considered making something with them?
@MamaMealPrep9 ай бұрын
She sprouts them for the chickens - they don’t get many greens during the dreary winter months so it’s nutritious and much needed for them 😊
@weepingwillowhomestead9 ай бұрын
I've made them several times for lunch but don't show lunches.

@@weepingwillowhomestead oh that's a shame because I have seen comments where people want to know what to make with lentils. I grew up eating lentils as part of our Greek cuisine so I was just curious to see how others make them.
@marykoufalis76669 ай бұрын
Indeed I am aware she has mentioned many times when she uses the majority of the lentils for. But often she will mention that she will make something with it but I'm just finding it curious that we never see a recipe including it. @@MamaMealPrep

Have you tried sauerkraut on your "meh" stomach. I know people who swear by it. You have to either drink 1/4 cup of sauerkraut juice or 1/4 cup of sauerkraut with a meal. Try it, it may work.

Have you ever thought about watching Mana Bairds homestead? Another person that could give you a realistic budget is Ozark Family Homestaed. If your husband or you had to work in order to get a realistic food budget You wouldn.t have to rely on low protein processed meats. I will get clap back on you have to fill the childrens bellies but at what cost for their future health.

Mama to All_Homestead. She is great on budget cooking, food bank hauls, low carb and using left overs in a creative manner. She is awesome. Look her, plus she will make you laugh.

I'm not clear what you're trying to say here. Does the husband not work and if so do you think he never did why do you think she doesn't have an idea about budgeting?
