Great haul,I wish they had something like that in Canada

My stepmom was mad at my dad because he picked her spaghetti squash when it was 5-6 inches long. It looked like a little watermelon with stripes. He thought it was a cucumber but it didn’t look anything like a cucumber.

Tomato seeds, like many other seeds, unless chewed up or broken open, come out of the animal’s digestive system viable and ready to grow! Also if you cold compost you’ll have a ton of seeds. I put homemade compost down and a carpet of tomatoes, grass, and purslane came up. The second bed I put a layer of mulch over the compost and had way fewer come through. They’re easy enough to pull and put back in the compost.

As a single person, I’ll suggest you can up small batches of veggies for them. It takes me at least 2 meals to eat a 15oz can of veggies, so unless it’s soup or something smaller is probably better.

I agree that this is a weird year for growing. Weather has not been stable. Your brassica leaves look like mine. Pretty chewed up. I too, am able to grow enough this year that I am able to share with others. My cherry tomatoes are on an arbor and are 10 feet tall and producing like crazy, yet my regular tomatoes are ugly. I think the weed problem is due to the dry conditions this year in my garden also. Thank you for this video- you are doing a great job. Loved your garden tour.

Mu nearest Walmart is 1 hour away from my small town,i go every 2 weeks,and like to make the day of it, our stores are way too expensive and i work seasonal,but i still need to shop around, great haul❤

So glad to hear you are all well and healthy! I have autoimmune issues so July has been very overwhelming and exhausting kids have been tired and fighting they are going back to school in 11 days and it will be just me and my husband who has late stage dementia I am hoping I can get some much needed cleaning, canning, and weeding the garden and maybe fit in some workout time for myselfthis month has been busy trying to get kids ready to go back to school and all the 5000 doctor appointments that we have to take care of over summer. Anyways looking forward to you being back have missed you tremendously! Take care and stay safe!

everyone needs a break Just glad you and your family doing well life been kinda hard for many because prices of food just keeping jumping up, I am getting at a point where meat prices are out of control I feel for those with families I know you can cook sound bean etc but you sometimes want something different than chicken and ground beef.

You might go back to the food bank after school starts again. I know from experience, families whose kids receive free lunch or who work for the schools on an hourly basis struggle more in the summer.
