Just finished watching ALL of your videos. From 3 years ago until today you've taken us on your delightful adventures and introduced us to your farmhouse, your countryside and your treasures and talent. And let's not forget the schwoos, the chickens and the cats. Along the journey you've gathered almost 90k subscribers; remember when you were excited to have 4K? As I watched all three years, I kept asking myself "which is your favorite video"? And I can honestly report, they are all my favorites! I am looking for many more years together. Love you both. Hugs from America.

@@CynBay Shwoos are Alex's fun nickname for her pet peahens. She got them as either hatchlings or she got them as eggs then hatched and reared them herself. There used to be two of them, but something must've happened to White Shwoo, now only Brown Shwoo remains.

I agree 100%! I starting watching the girls about 1 year ago and I binged watched all of them up to the current ones that were available…I think my personal favorite part was at the end of their crafty videos when they would get “the schwoo of approval” from their yard birds! It was so sweet!

Hopefully they diluted it before use! I wonder how many women became infertile from it.
@michelehood8837

@@2degucitas did you watch the 1920s-era HBO series, “Boardwalk Empire?” The main character, Nukky, ended it with his mistress when he found a Lysol douching solution in her bathroom. It reminded me of something my grandmother, who was born in 1896, said: “we did everything your generation did, except we didn’t talk about it like you do.” I’m not saying that we’d use Lysol as a birth control solution today - women 100+ years ago were also interested in controlling their fertility (even if it was medically questionable, and something that could have poisoned or maimed them).

Yes! A blown glass napkin ring, that's exactly what I thought that beautiful thing was too the very moment Alex wiped it off. It would have been lovely, glinting in the candlelight on the dining table. 🍬 Perhaps it was used at Christmas, as it does remind me of a candy cane.

Dear lovely Northern Mudlarking Ladies. 👍👌👏 Another great video with great finds. I'm very happy and thankful that you do a (short) roundup again at the end. It's always fantastic to see all the cleaned finds together on a while table cloth. 2) As you found the headless chicken money box, I instantly hoped that you would keep it and glue a new head on. My idea was to use a pipe bowl upside down. With a short piece of stem still on it, it would already look a bit like a chicken head with a beak. And I bet that you wouldn't have had any difficulties to add a comb. So I can only hope that you will find it again, just like the dog leg. 3) This time my favourite find is the gorgeous little pot lid decorated with different shades of green. I simply love 💚 nearly anything that is green. The second favourite is the miniscule bottle. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and health in particular.

I love all the items you found this week. I would take the tiniest glass eye I’ve ever seen and set it in some clear acrylic or resin. Then place the eye in the window of wonders. With it being that tiny and fragil the odds of it breaking or being lost is high so preserving it is best. Great work with your eyes ladies.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, however, I believe the obviously broken badge piece on the table is in fact the remains of a 6th (Fifeshire) Volunteer Battalion, The Black Watch cap badge and dates from 1887-1908. I don't know where you are located; this could be a unit nearby to you or nearby to the dump pit. The badge is actually very rare as the unit would have been relatively small. Unfortunately your relic is not really worth much, if anything, financially but to my mind is a fantastic piece of Victorian era social history. I have other cap badges in similar condition and I find they mean as much to me as a pristine example that was sat in the stores for many years.

I thought of it when observing the broken baby doll heads used as little decorations in your potted plants that sat in the “window of wonders”… I was thinking how cute that it too would have been if you used it as a little planter. I can picture you girls having a roadside plant stand with all kinds of plants / succulents that are displayed along with your many interesting broken finds❤…much love from Perry, Georgia-USA

Hello ladies, I wonder if that candy cane ring could've been a glass cane that German marbles were cut from? It was lovely and so festive looking. Lovely (and bizarre) finds you came across during this week's adventure. The dog's leg was meant to make its way home with you. I loved the lion's head. I was so happy to see that the doll's eye survived the trip back home with you. That bottle from The Brampton Old Brewery was a great find, and has, as Willie from DSoS is fond of saying, a "drippy lippy". I thank you for recommending Willie's channel, he's such great fun to watch & a very talented musician as well. Take care and lark on ladies! I look forward to seeing your next adventure soon. Greetings and best wishes from your friend in North Carolina! ❤ ♥
