@@OurWyomingLife I grew up in Cheyenne. Most of my relatives are in Harrison Nebraska. Harrison is in northwest Nebraska. My dad grew up as a rancher. Their place was just below the South Dakota border. I have two cousins who are still ranching in that area. I spent a lot of time in ranching country and know what it is like to be a rancher. The time frame was from 1959 to 1976. it is interesting to see how ranching has changed from then to now.

It's nice to see plain and simple and healthy family life on the ranch/farm. Brings back some good memories of my childhood and youth. It's also sadly missing in the majority of households now days. BTW, That was some good looking ears of corn and I think it probably was just enough to p'o a bunch of always hungry pigs; LMAO!

I enjoyed seeing your evening routine! Looks like Runt enjoys having the little piggies as stall mates, better than being alone. When I lived in rural Nevada friends of mine had a hobby ranch with chickens, hogs and 2 horses. They had a big boar hog named Buster who was so spoiled, he was fed a quart of chocolate milk as a treat a few times a week! I love seeing the calves being fed, they have bonded with you like they would their own mom!

Hi Mike and Erin, I just wanted to say I really like your videos, you have good ingenuity on how to fix things and anybody that don’t want to listen or watch you I feel sorry for him. I don’t think there’s anything better to watch than you and your wife and your kids and your baby goats and cows and your emus are used to have this cow and we Loved her but she would let all the other steers nurse her before we could get the milk out of her so we decided we were going to seller. We drove two hours to an auction and then we unloaded her and we loaded her back up and brought her home when it up so I’m telling her to a friend of ours that wanted her just for that reason but her name was Betsy. She was a good old pal kids kids could even ride her.❤ when I see you with your cows and how you name them and pet them and give them cake and you talk to them it reminds me of the farm I lived on brings me great joy to see it. Keep the good work up you both are doing a wonderful job and God bless you.❤️🙏🌈✝️

Hi Mike I drive trucks here in Australia carting a lot of produce. And I can tell the viewers one thing all fruit and vegetables are kept in gas controlled warehouses .ie they control the ripening of the products with different gasses. Some stuff like apples can be up to 6 months old before it hits a shelf. I travel up to 2500 miles a week so on my travels and even at home I always go to a farm shop or stall on the roadside. 1 I actually get fresh seasonal produce and this is the important part the farmer actually gets the money not some share holder.

re: barn cats, we used to feed them every other day or every third day, can, dry it didn't matter but don't leave it out for them, put out only enough that they finish it off. Otherwise you will get skunks, raccoons and all other types of vermin. they hunted more not being fed every day and we NEVER had mice in the tack room or anywhere for that matter.

We have one of those big fridges at our 50+ club and those sliding doors are a pain when you are putting away or taking our a bunch of stuff. We cut a length of wood and drop it in the bottom slide rail to hold the door open. That way you can move stuff in or out with both hands and not have to worry about the door. Fill one side then the other.

You should try to find and have a custom made inflatable banner that runs off a fan and connect it to the power switch so when you turn off your light in the farm store he will deflate as well . I don't know how it would work with the wind but just a suggestion....
