It's my second time watching this video and I feel equally moved as the first time I watched it. In fact, I'm very touched by Dr Beck's sentiments... His emotions highlight the theme of this presentation. I truly have not seen anyone express such deep emotions when speaking of the Holy Land. He actually gives one the impression that he was born here. He speaks to my heart! What a privilege to come to know this man, and more so be one of his students. I truly wish that some day, when he's next in Israel, I'll be able to fly over there (being only an hour's flight away). Thank you so very much🙏

Wow what a story so clear to understand, I will never look at Psalms 137 the same. I love how she said we hung the harp at the willow tree with hopes of playing it again. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story.

Jerusalem is so beautiful. I love the silent harp, it truly does look ever intimate, like the way God is with us. He knows his children personally like the harp. Lovely information about Jerusalem. I thank God for you our daily bread. Thank you.

Ok so just like everything else im only a year late but me too. What ive been missing is the visual link. The descriptive link between what i read and what i think about what i believe gets so twisted and convoluted in my mind as days turn to weeks to months and years.... it becomes very 2d. This brings things to 3d. And i really can feel the pain and horror of what the people who couldnt worship how they wanted too in a strange land. I also wonder if americas founding fathers thought about psalm137 when they were writing our constitution...

Jerusalem needs to build outward, many will be coming home that must be welcomed. The walls that are, is impossible to hold all there are when they come home. Blessings to Jerusalem.

I truly enjoy series like these--Jack Beck is an excellent communicator--he is so passionate about the Bible and God and the places he goes and tells about! I also enjoyed the "In Pursuit" series. I donate when I can--I grew up on "Our Daily Beard" devotionals--every morning, my dad would take his Bible and the 3 month ODB devotional book and read the scripture and the commentary that went with it. We would have our blessing and then breakfast. I still love ODB and use it still today--at 61 years old.

Before they worship the living God later Solomon build temple for the gods of his wives so they can worship there after many warning by the prophets and are not willing to change their thinking, God allows the Babylonians to conquered Jerusalem and the temple was striped of its glory the presence of God departed and the light of the city went dark.
