An RV Caravan Tour is a great place for Newbies to RV Life to start too. If you are just heading out on the road, you can dip your toes into the lifestyle with a safety net of people looking out for you, offering tips and having help immediately available should something go wrong. You also have the opportunity to build your "Tribe" and make new friends. Its like a dress rehearsal before you go out there and do all the planning and travel days on your own.

After watching your video on the Grand Circle tour, I booked the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival with Adventurer Caravans. Campsite was very difficult to get our 5th wheel level, took many hour of hand digging to make it work (wasn’t their fault and the gentleman that worked with them were a huge help). The negative experience was the food. I wish they would have the option not to pay for meals. We eat the vegan lifestyle, I’m also lactose intolerant) and I said that on the form but there wasn’t anything we could eat. So we enjoyed other’s company during meal time and went back to the camper to eat. We also missed out on the tram ride up to the Sandi’s Peak ,the equipment broke down when we arrived . So that’s the gamble you take with these tours, you don’t get your money back if yours are canceled 😩. If they would give us the option not paying for meals I think we would go again but still on the fence. I’ll be watching for your adventure with them though! Love you guys!

Hello, your videos from the start of your travels are some of the most informative and entertaining on KZbin. Thank you. In particular, are there rig restrictions on the caravan tours? Age, condition, size, or simply type of RV. Thanks, Ryan and Tonya
@OurJourneyInMyles7 ай бұрын
For the most part, no there are no restrictions. If a campground has a certain restriction, we make sure to coordinate with the campground and make sure everyone is placed accordingly. I am guessing you must be self contained, no pop-ups or cars. We had a number of rigs on our Grand Circle Caravan that were 10 plus years old, but in good shape.

Yes, absolutely! I think the less you have to think about in the beginning, the better. I would of course camp for a while in your rig first to make sure it is road ready,........even if you are buying new. @OurJourneyInMyles7 ай бұрын
Each and EVERY National Park, State Park, National Monument, BLM Land, Waterway, Lighthouse, Historical Landmark, Fort, the National Mall in Washington DC, ANYTHING that is managed by the park system or government requires a permit for a KZbinr because you are considered commercial filming. This is whether or are not you are monetized. YT makes money even if you are not. Permits are free but cost $100 to $300 in "application fees" depending on the park. They take 1 month to secure and get in hand. You have to predict the exact day and time and location in the park you will be filming. If you are denied, there is no refund. And here is the corker, you need to have a 1 million dollar general liability insurance policy with the National Park Service listed as the payee. This is the link that explains it all: www.nps.gov/aboutus/news/commercial-film-and-photo-permits.htm We have been priced out. Channels that are still doing NP are either taking the legal risk, or are big enough to afford this.

@mikecrosby33747 ай бұрын

@OurJourneyInMyles7 ай бұрын
We chose Florida. You have to really do your research when making the decision. Make sure the articles you are reading are CURRENT. Make sure your health insurance will work there. Only a few states have RV Insurance for FULL-TIMERS. Don't say you are Part Time when you really aren't! We are being MURDERED on our RV and Honda insurance costs. The carriers assume your RV will be blown away in a hurricane. If I could do thins over, I would have chose South Dakota or Montana or one of those states. Do your research! Not Texas. You have to return every year to have your RV Inspected.

Mark. I am about to pull the trigger on buying a motorhome As you know I love the Newmar line. I have been looking also at the Entegra line. Just curious to know if you feel there is a significant difference in towing between the 605 and 405 HP engines. I know that I will be towing a toad maybe a Jeep Wagoneer. I like the Newmar Essex but after looking at the Entegra I like both the Cornerstone and Anthem. The big draw back on thiem is there is no emergency egress door on the Entegra line nor do they have the push button start. Do you have any comments for me that you can share. please let me know know. If you can email me you have my email starting with pastor. Thank you in advance for your assistance
@OurJourneyInMyles6 ай бұрын
Hey Buddy! You asked for it! Personally,......I am afraid of many things in motorhomes. In this day & age, for a company to STILL be designing a $700k MH without a fire door is idiotic to me. I would never buy one. I would never drive without Retrobands installed in the front tires. I would never want a Spartan Frame. If all you are towing is a Wagoneer, you do NOT need a 605HP. The 450HP is fine for 99.9% of your driving. Driving a Motorhome slow & steady is your best chance to make it through "unscathed"! Comfort Drive is mandatory, or some copycat of the system. I suggest you VERIFY all my answers by calling Angie Morell at NIRVC! She forgot more about RV's than I currently know,....
