The outdoor exercise equipment works okay for strength, but it can't work for endurance because there's nowhere for the energy to go! Your legs just fly around pointlessly. In Nong Bua park in Udon I'd use the chins and dips, but do step ups on a ledge looking out on the water, touching the rail lightly for balance. That, if you can get a little bit of breeze off the water, works. Still drenched in 15 minutes, though.
