Though that is true to speak up if you are being abused by your parent.... but it's just like he said in the song "Because there's nothing anyone would do" even if you do speak up, a good majority of the time no one will do anything they'll just brush it off... I had a friend that was being abused by his mom but when he told people no one would believe him, his mom broke his arm and that's when people started believing him... so it's sad if you say something or not there's not always people that will help unless someone is actively looking for kids that are being abused.

Thanks for reacting to this. Such an amazing song. There's too many kids that get abused and it's such a shame. It makes my heart ache.

Please check out “the little girl” by John Michael Montgomery. The little girl in this song and video survives and does well. However, her parents did not. Same story, different ending.

I still remember when I was younger. A new group of children had arrived at the shelter. One of them had to stay in the hospital. One of the young girls was clinging to the officer. Who had pulled her mom’s boyfriend beating her. One of the workers asked me be in the office to try to help her to let go.

So was I. Who would’ve believed a little girl. Even the teacher saw the bruises. But back then that was called discipline. God bless you sweetheart

Our parents would make sure we understood how much worse our lives would be in the system. They told us we would be raped a lot, beat worse than what they did to us as well. When our mother left our father, we thought things would be better. They didn’t. It turned out that her boyfriend liked to rape little girls and after years of not saying anything because he said our mom wouldn’t believe us, I ran. I ran to other family members who helped me report it. He was right about my mother. The last thing she said to me was, “thanks for ruining my life”

Mr.DeonSavage, I realize now that you do NOT do “Reaction” videos to Christian videos. I appreciate your time, IF you read my previous comment about Christian Music Videos. OR MAYBE you watched and listened to the videos in your spare time.

Be warned on Martina's song "Concete Angel". If you watch it and "Alyssa Lies" back to back, you WILL find yourself crying near-uncontrollably, with how powerfully the two songs speak on this very message.

I take it the girl in the end that ran out of the class was her ? and she and Alyssa had now been close friends for a few years now. But yeah I've been down that road. In 1975 when I was 8 at my schools request I had to see a shrink because of fighting, disruptive behavior, and being antisocial. I was both bribed anthreatened by my dad when I saw the psychiatrist to keep my mouth shut. I did and the abuse went on for a few more years until I left home at 14.
@nathancline40003 жыл бұрын
Video is a recreation of showing it in a classroom setting, and it leading to speak up about the abuse they themselves were experiencing.
