I haven't had this salad for a few years, and it's time to get it into rotation again. Never had it with chicken, but I will now. Love that it can be made earlier in the day when I have a little more energy for cooking. It's always so nice to have dinner prepared & waiting. Thanks for your recipe.

I just discovered you! This salad looks yummy! Will cut recipe in half. Only me now. It's sometimes difficult to cook for one without alot of waste or too many leftovers. I'm going to try your kielbasa recipe next. Easy to cut down and looks yummy! And will freeze leftover kielbasa for future meals.

I'm Canadian, so I bought a bag of 3 colour coleslaw from Superstore. It was marked 30% off regular price of 3. 99. Just for laughs, I measured the 397 gm (14 oz) bag by volume. It came out at 6 and one-half cups. It was too coarsely shredded for my liking, so I put it in the food processor to get a finer cut, like KFC. Probably netted out at 4 or so cups, but it's the mass that counts and not the volume. (Kinda reminds me of high school physics, lol.)

My husband bought about 13 of rotisserie chickens at our Sams club about an hr away. I don't know if you have them in Canada, I think they are owned by Walmart, not sure. They were $4.99 and nice size. We put how many in the freezer and he got more another day to give to a friend. I get tired of them. our Walmart used to sell for I think that price and no they are $9.99 and small. Our Giant Eagle sells for $7.99 and small. That looks so good. Thank you.

Hello from Scotland Colleen, so happy that the rains have arrived to hopefully dampen down the wild fire threat 🔥 & relieved to hear that the community alert has been removed today. We have unfortunately had a very wet 💦 summer here, with the latest weather warnings for at least 18 days worth of rain expected to fall over the next 36 hours 🤦♀️, so we are currently under threat of flooding, too bad we can’t share some of our excess H2° with you, but as long as we’re all safe, we should be thankful.☺️ Hope you & the family are doing as well as can be expected, & my daily prayers continue for you all. 🙏❤️🩹 Thank you for sharing your delicious looking chicken & ramen noodle salad, it’s a new recipe to me & looks delicious 😋, unfortunately due to the damage done to my teeth following my cancer treatment, I now have great difficulty actually chewing on raw cabbage, nuts etc - but really miss enjoying these types of salads 🥗, perhaps I could try with an assortment of well shredded lettuce & salad leaves, skipping on the nuts, but it just wouldn’t be the same, but I hope yourself & the girls thoroughly enjoyed it!😋 Suppose I’d be better just warming up the chicken & boiling some ramen noodles & buttered cabbage to accompany it, much like your husband probably will.😆 As always, thank you for sharing 🙏, take care, stay safe & God Bless xx 🥰💕💞💖

The dehydrated noodles will rehydrate with whatever moisture they can find, so they will dehydrate you. Please drink extra water when eating them. This is one of my utmost favorite salads ever, (I literally crave it) I know it as Asian or Oriental Raman Salad...but rather than chicken, I use the Shrimp or Oriental flavored Raman packets, and I use imitation crab shreds/flakes...I can almost guarantee that you'll like it even better than the version made with chicken I agree the toasting of the noodles and seeds makes a big difference (I also use Sesame seeds instead of Almonds, but only because I don't like Almonds).... Red Wine or Rice Wine vinegar...and a "neutral" tasting oil, like Avacado or Vegetable oil. And yes, I use the flavor packets (some people toss the flavor packets and season it with their own spices)
@marywalker13944 ай бұрын

To save energy and not over heat your kitchen, I think this would work well in an air fryer for toasting the dry stuff. Or even in a large skillet if you stir frequently and watch closely. The next time you buy coleslaw mix, measure how many cups are in the bag. Gives you a rough idea of how much cabbage you need. When I buy a rotisserie chicken, I put the warm bird in an empty bread bag and manipulate it to get the meat off. Saves the mess. After a while, I got pretty good at separating into light and dark meat. (I HATE dark meat.)
