Hi Coleen , I made the maple walnut fudge the other night and it was an epic fail.put it outside side to cool. I brought it in last night to cut it up it was very firm so I thought great,I had left a couple of pieces out for my husband. This morning they were a couple of little lumps. I don’t know what happened . I live in Oliver it was cool out but not freezing. ☹️☹️help!!!

I learned that a pastry cutter makes "flaking" food (meat, eggs, etc) easier. Especially for deviled eggs.

I will be using large cheese whiz Jars when I put my jars together for gifts. I like to hang on to my wide mouth Jars for canning. I live in a tiny community and ordered a lot on line due to health issues and can’t go shopping much. I have a number of parcels sitting in the mail waiting for the mail to start moving again. But this is good for the business in our areas.

This reminds me of a depression era peach pudding cake I make. Peaches on the bottom, batter next, then a cup of sugar with cornstarch mixed in, sprinkled on top. Then you pour boiling water over all and bake. I really didn't think it would work the first time I made it..but to my delight..it's delicious! I will have to try this now, thank you!

Hi Colleen , I do the same thing with Amazon that you do. How wonderful and generous of you to make a gift for the person that picks up your waist. We should get back to doing things like that, It’s a beautiful thing. Love this idea and the recycling of the cards, I actually cut the cards out that are the old-fashioned ones and use them to hang on trees and gland as ornaments. Just another idea what you can do with them rather than throwing them out because they are very expensive quite frankly. A typical nice hallmark card here in Florida cost eight dollars.😮 have a beautiful Merry Christmas up there. Cheers from Florida….Brian

Someone once told me that pineapple juice would stop the Jell-o from setting. Maybe that's not correct, or maybe the salad doesn't need to be too firm. By the way, the metal spoon on the metal bowl is an unpleasant sound on the microphone. How about wooden or rubber next time? Or maybe a towel under the bowl? :) I also remember tomato aspic and lime Jell-o with coleslaw.

I have never seen that done as "savory" with green onions! At 55, it's nice to be surprised!!
