@truthseeker 1. Learning Indian instruments on this level itself is a great achievement, you don't necessarily have to know how to compose. That's why they have composers in music. 2. Indian classical music is dying, if they improvise like this and bring nuances then people can truly enjoy it. Example- I hated Indian classical, found it quit boring and bland. But I enjoy classical in this way. 3. Why are you even here? If you don't like what they do? Just a good for nothing hater who doesn't have even 5% of the talent they have.

@truthseeker It's really really challenging to resist the urge to hate, isn't it? Or, is it just the easiest thing your brain can come up with? Mastering classical music and instruments takes immense talent and dedication. And purely classical is not for everyone, in this form, it's enjoyed by a lot more people. It's art at the end of the day.

The involuntary tear coming to my eye every time I listen to and let myself transcend with Tushar's Indian jam project is a thing now I guess, Can't say I've had that experience before, maybe one or two times? There is something so very spiritual and impactful about Tushar and his music. His music doesn't necessarily "try" to create an impact per se, it's just impactful, just like a huge oak tree, it's just impactful by being there.

The instrument played with the bow is called the 'Sarangi'. It has been used by Aerosmith in the song "Taste of India" and also by Def Leppard in "Turn to Dust". It is said to most resemble the sound of the human voice.

Not sure if you guys will read this but, Of all of you guys, RICK, you, I think you have (or have developed) a fine appreciation for Indian music. I can see how you had goosebumps at 4:59 and 5:27. Those are the EXACT points when true Indian classical influence is at its peak (imho) and your instinct was spot-on. I'd recommend you listen to more Indian classical music (even if in fusion format). Something tells me you'll love it. Cheers! Btw my suggestion: Try listening to Agam (Carnatic Progressive Rock). Maybe start with the song Rangapura Vihara.
