And you said that shark in the ocean, should be allowed to the live their life without human opression or exploitation, then you think that child would grow up to oppress another human, if that thought that all species or all beings, regardless of how they look, whether they have feathers or wings or whatever form they took. Do you not think that child would respect lifes including our own? Now, Rick, I'm specifically talking to you. What you say about black lifes matter is completely true and I'm never tell you what you said is not true because it is valid to the core and your anger I think is beautiful because you stand up and you care. The way I see it is that the root of all opression and all evil is the idea that some lifes matter more than others. That is the root of all evil, and if we can tackle evil in every life, which includes that of animals aswell, that's how we can create true peace and equality.

It's inhumane because you are not killing the shark. You just make the shark suffer which is inhumane. Other animals generally have protocols in place for humane execution. KFC's procedures are illegal only when they break the rules (which they do a lot). What people want is to kill the shark if you want to eat it rather than torturing it. The same goes for dogs in China and Korea and the cases of illegal activities in KFC (it's illegal for a reason).

You're right. In pre historic period (also known as cave-home period) human used to eat non-veg only. Then slowly they discovered grains and vegetables n fruits. Then after learning to make fire, man also learned to cook vegetables and he found it more easy to digest and health friendly. Then slowly we learned to make powder of grains and bread came into cooking. After this, the whole food intake system was redefined as per climate and geographical area. Mean while, when we were discovering our habitable areas and foods, we found that 3 animals cows, dogs and horses were extremely useful to us in different ways. Cows were humble and major source of milk, horses were powerful and made us win over enemies and other dangers and dogs were faithful guards to individual or their families. So human included these 3 in their life as friends. Horse and oxen were even used in farming and travel-carts and dogs were used to take care for small livestocks like sheep, goats. Since that ancient time, these 3 have been given respect and not eaten. Even they're given burial after they die otherwise. But not eaten. This is written in our vedas also.

As a native Goan (the people of Goa are called Goans), let me clarify some things, especially about the food in Goa. Hotel Parakh is in Kolhapur, Maharashtra and not in Goa. The Tambda Rassa and Pandhra Rassa are the specialities of Kolhapur. Beef is not banned in India, cow slaughter is. People confuse both these things. The beef you get in Goa is bull meat and not cow meat. Ross Omlette is very unique to Goa. Its a Goan preparation and widely eaten throughout Goa. Its very reasonably priced too, 40 or 50 rupees, that is around 60 cents in US money. Goa cuisine is very complex, deep and varied compared to what is normally shown on travel shows. Hardly any tourist goes in to the hinterland, where the real Goan cuisine is. What you get on the tourist heavy coastal belt is a pale, commercialized version that comes absolutely nowhere close to the real thing. What Jasmine said about Goan cuisine being Portuguese with a Indian influence in only somewhat partly true. It reflects the cuisine of the Roman Catholic population of Goa, which is around 26% of Goa's population. The cuisine of the Hindus (comprising 67%) is completely different from that and has nearly no resemblance to Portuguese cuisine. Vinegar isn't even used in almost all of Hindu homes. The Hindu cuisine itself varies with geography and caste. What is normally portrayed is a simplistic, generalized take on just one section of Goan cuisine.

NO OFFENCE. ONLY TRYING TO EXPLAIN. YOU CAN EAT WHAT YOU WANT. The Cow is NOT SACRED. But it has been the backbone of Indian economy for decades. It's labour, milk, manure (yeah the cool organic farming), is useful. Especially for a monsoon dependent country like India. Most Indians have grown up with a cow. Just like Americans grow up with CATS and DOGS, but unlike Cats and Dogs, cows are not just for entertainment or CUDDLES. They are useful too. Also, the average farm holding of cows in America is 1500 but in India it is 2-3. This means that the farmer has a personal connect with the cow . Also, cow is a very sensitive animal, you would know if you spend enough time with an alive cow, rather than a dead one.

Sharks are consumed all over the world. They are abundant. However, there are a few species, that are protected and those are illegal. The chicken and mutton that one consumes come from animals that are raised for slaughter. Their hunting may have a more pronounced impact on the environment and sustainability of the aquatic ecosystems.

Well they kill the goat don't they? But here you don't kill the shark but you rather torture it. And the fact that there are several species of sharks that are endangered is not a fact that can be applied to cows and dogs that we consume. But don't worry. The shark that are eaten in Goa are not endangered 🤷🏻♂️.
