Thank you for your honesty and transparency on how things are going. Going through a season were I’m struggling to maintain any sort of routine due to constantly changing schedules in our family. Putting the “kitchen to bed” every night and waking up to a clean sink is one thing that I’ve been able to maintain though and it really does make in difference to start my day off with a cleaned up kitchen!

A fold out banquet table from Sam’s or Costco would work great for a food cooking/prep on your outside area. You can always use the table for additional seating area as well for large meal gatherings or a place to start seedlings for the garden.

Buying your property was the best thing you and Solo did an amazing job buying the property the kids are loving it and love seeing the kids having so much fun and loving the way they enjoy the Chicken's,Duck's and kittens. Your property is so beautiful and the kid's are just loving it and have so much land to enjoy. Sarah I see you are loving your farm animal's as much as the kid's! I look so forward to seeing your new house you are building and all the new farm animal's you will add to the family. Looking back on old video's and loved you guy's trip to Kenya and all the fun the kid's had playing with all the kids there and really getting to know more about you and the ties you have to Kenya and seeing Solo's family. Your family is amazing! Your children are so smart and growing into amazing adults. The way your children love their brother's and sister's so much! Peace is growing up so fast. Is she enjoying walking in the grass any better lol. They are burning off so much energy playing on the property I bet they sleep good at night. Looking forward to many new adventure's on your beautiful property and it is BEAUTIFUL! Love you all♥

When it gets crazy, loud and overwhelming turn it around and appreciate your blessings and gifts. So many people wish they could have children and are unable, something has happened to their children like their child is sick or worse. I know you are appreciative and you have no space in your house. Just trying to help you. I never imagined my son would be in a horrible car accident (severe TBI) when he was 16. Detasseling is removing the tassels off the female rows so the male rows can pollinate the female plants for a hybrid. We have a lot of seed corn in my area which is northeastern Indiana. Specialty crops such as seed corn requires irrigation. Yes, it’s very dry here too. The barley field right by my house is harvested. Wheat is not ready to harvest yet here.

If your plum tree is like ours the plums are small like wild plums. They will be orangish pink when they are ripe and will just fall off when they are ready. I surround the tree with 3 or 4 sheets and just shake the limbs and the plums just fall off then I can pick them up!! Way easier! They aren’t really good for eating they are so small but they are great for putting in my steam juicer and making jelly!!

Love the idea of cooking stuff outside. My parents actually live in their camper when they go to work and they run every appliance outside. Crock pots, air fryer, pressure cooker.... everything is on a cart that mom keeps covered and pulls out just what she needs to cook with and they make everything outside bc the camper is small and gets hot so quick and the appliances take up so much space. It really helps to keep your counters cleared!!

Aw, living in a small house takes time, for sure. We have been in a small house for more than a couple of years, and it does take time. We have 13/12 people in a home that's 1300 sqft plus an unfinished basement and a porch that's enclosed. I get it!! We also homeschool, and I make content out of my house. Love the backyard! I laughed when you said “kids just go outside, haha!” I could leave the bed unmade, but my kitchen needs to be clean, haha! I'm a minimalist, but I also live in a small house with many people, so I'm always decluttering and I love a clean kitchen! Glad you are feeling better; that's so great to hear! Sending love from Wisconsin!💕

I’m 64 and Disabled so my mobility keeps me inside other than hospital or Doctors appointments. I would LOVE to be outside and have a train ride, that looks so much fun and so relaxing 🚂! I use to bake and cook all the time but I don’t get much opportunity to do so any more. I loved making persimmon cookies and loaves of bread. My grandparents came from Portugal and bought land in Central Valley California and built a traditional big white farmhouse with a screened in porch and that’s where they slept during the hot summers. The land was full of various fruits and vegetables 🥕. The main income came from the Olive 🫒 Trees, Almond Trees and Beautiful White 🍑 Peach Trees. Next door had fields of cotton that I loved picking and slowly worked into clothes for my Barbie dolls and eventually, 2 Fine Arts Degrees later became an Educator & Technician in Costume Design at the College I graduated from. I also began my Visual Design career as an Independent Contractor. The farm was where I also experimented with dying cotton with the natural materials all around me growing up. The 🍇 grape vineyards made one of my favorite colors. At the farthest back point of the far had a huge Oak Tree and there was a rope with an old tire tied on for hours of fun washing all the peach and almond fuzz off😅Boy that fuzz was painful during the blazing hot 🥵 summer. The farm was full of life lessons that I still miss today. Grandma canned so many foods and the root cellar was full of beets, potatoes 🥔, carrots 🥕 just to name a few. When I was younger I was scared of the dark root cellar, when I got older the various cousins locked grandpa in the root cellar and boy was he 😡 mad. They all had to go pick a switch from a tree and got some leg punishment. I’m still scared to think about it. We here in Central California are still going through a years long drought and it’s really hurt our farmers. One lake has dried up so much parts of the town below it are visible. The lake was there because of the Dam that was built. Maybe you could use this information as a lens into the life of immigrants from Portugal, who traveled across the country to enjoy freedom and prosperity while living on the farm they built. I can think of numerous Educational State Standards you can build lesson plans for your own children/students 📚📊📐🧮📍🖍️✏️🎭🎨🌷🌾💫🌈🌛🌳🐿️🐇🐖🐝🐢🐣🦆🐮🥧🥜🍯🥛🧀🍞🍠🍎🍊🍋🍉🍒🍇🍓🫐🍅Enjoy your Farm💖

You want to be sure and dry out your eggshells before you give them to your chickens and ducks. If you don't, it will cause your chickens and your ducks to eat their own eggs. If they get the taste of raw eggs then they have a tendency to eat their eggs. But if the egg shells are dried out either in your ovens or like in the sun to where the egg is, shell is completely dry. Then they have a tendency not to eat their own eggs

I absolutely love seeing how your kids interact with each other. I know that kids will bicker and sometimes argue and everything else…. However, seeing your kids and the amount of teamwork and love they have for each other. I adore it so much.
