Also my adult children have recently told me- thank you for keeping me safe when I was little. Back then they would get mad if we didn't let them spend the night with families we didn't know. Now, they completely understand. So, yes saying no is hard but necessary.

My parents when we were growing up would have our friends come to our house mostly instead of us going to their houses. Only if mom knew the family real well could we go to our friends house for a night. I thank them for that.

@@OurTribeofMany try putting your bucket of honey in the bath tub filled with hot water. Your fish is a crappie and you did pronounce it correctly, they do get fairly big for a pan fish and they’re really good. Clean your fish before you put the in the freezer they’ll be fine it’s just nerves that are still muscle spasming. 😊

Putting limits on electronics is so important for the child's well-being! I even need too limit how much time I spend. Spending time with creative things so important . I too cancelled my cable tv and was so glad. Being the adult is never easy . Yes the benefits for our children having parents with strong parenting skills is of the best for the family.

For the honey bucket we bought a small blanket warmer that we can set the temp. It was like $25 from Walmart. I wrap it around the bucket and half a day I have nice soft honey I can scoop into other containers.

Good plan, in Beekeeping catalogs they sell bucket warmers. Or scoop out enough for a big bowl and put that smaller amount in oven on very low temp. Anything 140 degrees will kill all the good properties of raw honey. I’m a 10 year beekeeper.

Now, some were a bit slower in getting their chores done, the others would complain! Well then! Go help your sister/brother to get their chores done! I agree with your ideas on eating. My husband has lost 70 pounds, myselfabout 20 and we did not diet. We just stopped eating when we felt just full, not continue to eat because it tasted good. Many times we left a bit of food on our plate because we were done. We ate just about everything but in moderation. I still baked and enjoy a sweet treat. Thanks for your insights into this as I know many people that go on diets and it does not work.

I have to say I love your channel. Your parenting is so refreshing and it shows in your children. I watched the one where you caught the fish, and it brought back so many memories, as we fished a lot as kids, and the worst part was cleaning them. 😃 Now, I just want to mention that we never threw the bones or the heads back into the lake or river because many people are at the lake and could step on one. I have a friend who stepped on a head and the bone went into her heal, and many, many infections and surgeries later, she lost part of her foot. Please, with so many people enjoying your pond, consider not throwing any fish heads or bones into the pond. Just a suggestion. Take care

Thank you for the last video on electronics. I felt the conviction so strong for so long and the recent shows I caught my kids watching on Netflix (in the kids show settings) made me lay down the hammer. I told my husband if he wants to keep Netflix then he had to put a password on it so that I didn’t have to fight the battle everyday. I’m slowly working on eliminating more streaming apps and praying for warmer weather to come fast.

It's so cute watching Peace having fun with her siblings and not viewing all the action from the couch as a baby. She's a big girl now.😂❤❤ When my first children were small, I bought our first gaming system, but we were hardly home, always on tour or at rehearsals. Saturday nights were our time to enjoy it, but we were often too tired(tv time was 2 hours a few days if at home or during holidays). When my son came along, my big brother got him a gaming system and I still kept the plan of Saturday nights and limited the time(more time given during holidays). I had to take it away a few times for a while for him to focus on other things. The last time I took it away, I forgot about it for 2 months until we were moving and so did he. He instead, got more into his art and perfected his talent, we were also spending more time together. Now my little ones have the tv and we are all watching it together on the Weekend for no more than 2 hours and during the weekdays 1 hour before bed( there is a gaming system but it's put away, they don't even know about it). If the parents set the rules and are firm on what they mean, there should be no problems with it.

I love how your children love playing outside and riding bikes and the girls playing dress up. That's how I grew up back in the 70s/80s. We were never indoors . When we were teenagers we'd play baseball or kickball in the alley or just hang out on my best friends porch. There were like 10 us we all lived on the same block. I miss those days when things were easier. I love how you've taught your kid's that all that electronic stuff isn't that important. And now that you've got all that property I can only imagine how much fun they're going to have. I hope their friends from the old house will be able to visit them😊❤

Hello all! When you are building your new home, consider radiant floor heating at least in some areas. Our addiction has it for the purpose of heating and it’s so nice to walk in in the winter but BIG Bonus is if I keep my large pails of Coconut oil and Honey on the floor, it’s perfect softness! Also, when germinating trays of seedlings, I can simply line the floor. No more creative lights, heating pads, etc

The most important thing i learned in school for dietetics was that cravings don't go away but they only take two bites to satisfy. So share a food or desert: everyone wins. Then the body moves on to the next craving. It takes about 20 minuets for the stomack to process the food, so you make sense. Great job; mom also uses this method and it helps loads of people.

I have 3 small kids... a year ago we watched cartoons 4 - 6 days a week... our eyes were opened to effects of tech addiction in young kids and now our watching habits are basically inverted where the kids watch a movie/short show 1 to 3 times a week. Someone advised me not to use it as a crutch but I was at the time and I'm so glad we caught it early. My kids play better now, they're better at entertaining themselves, and I think they are generally happier. They don't even ask to watch very often. I think it's harder as the parent to break the habit of letting them watch often. I used to default to the TV when things got hairy but not it's not even an immediate thought, just gotta ride out the chaos sometimes. Definitely recommend limiting TV, your kids will create memories coming up with imaginative things to do, they won't grow up and say "Remember all those awesome shows we got to watch when we were young?!"

Cute duckies! We've been fostering 4 baby bunnies for almost a month now. Lots of work but so cute and so much fun! I think every kid is different with their potential for addiction as well. My youngest can be around electronics or tv and show interest but then move on to something else. My older twins were preemies and I think have some sensory processing/ADHD behaviors. My husband lets them play a little video games and they get sucked right in...have a REALLY hard time turning it off and calming down after. Or if they're ever around tv anywhere, they sit and stare even for commercials. I limit to 1 movie most days depending what we're doing but I'd like to cut back on even that.

If you are very hungry before dinner (or any meal) try a large spoon full of peanut butter (for children a smaller spoonfull) for that meal. The peanut butter will stop the hunger. The peanut butter will fill you up for the time being. No crackers, just the spoon full of peanut butter. It has worked for me anyway for years. I am an RN and I always had peanut butter in my office or my car (depending on the job I had, sometimes I was a home care nurse). I often ran out of time to eat at meal times while working and would get headaches or just be starving and hard to concentrate on work but had to continue to work anyway and found this a life saver and so easy to manage!

Sarah, if you have favorite utensils, measuring cups etc, that you have to bring back and forth, get yourself a good toolbox. That you can carry. They have several draws. I use a craftsman when I do catering. 😘

Great video!! I agree that every household has to do what’s is best for them. We have gaming systems here and tablets but there are rules that they are only allowed from Friday evenings to Sunday evening after things are done and then there’s a limit of time. That seems to work for us whereas I know other families who allow their children to play with them all the time and I can see the difference in their behavior and other aspects that are completely different than our children. I believe everything in moderation.

How wonderful that these comments are from self stated experts available on KZbin videos to give criticism when they probably have such perfect lives and have no issues. Sarah, I never was as beautiful as you after one child let alone 11. Your beautiful as you are and your family is amazing.

Here in Texas we say crop ee for the crappie fish. My favorite fish. Nothing better than fresh, warm bread. Too much sugar daily is not a good thing. Hello Solo. My budget for food (1person) has doubled. You two are great parents. This is reflected in each of your children. Children thrive on a disciplined life. Reading books is so much more enjoyable than TV. My few KZbin families give me great joy. Take care❤

No cars, no guns, no danger. AMEN. Thank you for the tip of waiting 20 minutes after a meal, that goes in effect TODAY. May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to bountifully bless "The Tribe Of Many❤

I love watching your videos and your family! You should look into the Bosch kitchen machine for making bread. You can easily make 6 loaves at a time with minimal work involved. It would save you a lot of time. Also my son in law is a beekeeper and he tells everyone to leave the honey pail under the sink because it’s the warmest cabinet.

As much as those kids love that swimming pool, I can't imagine how they love this new place with no pool even more.........can they swim in the lake? (when it's warmer of course) I think it's so great that they will have so much land to roam and grow up on!

Sarah for the honey bucket you can use a Bee blanket that is electric and will slowly heat up the honey and get it running again. My husband keeps bees and we do that when our honey gets hard. ❤

I have to say this Sarah I think your raising a beautiful family and you and Solo have taught them well. As for your food choices it’s no one’s business, if the Karen’s don’t like it they need to move on. The hours you spend making and then editing these videos you don’t deserve any Karen remarks. I have gleaned from you and your family! Have a great week and thank you for taking us along on your journey🤗

Hey Sarah, as you fish more and catch more fish, you can designate a big cooler and keep your fish on ice. Then, have one big cleaning session. You can set up an area outside where there is a water source and do all your cleaning there. Cleaning fish is a very messy endeavor, so you want to do it outside. You'll get used to the process. I grew up with grandparents who were big freshwater fishermen and now my husband is one, too. We just had some trout, from our freezer, for supper this week, that he caught last summer. As the subscriber mentioned, the fish had been cleaned and frozen in water. Tastes just like they had been caught! Happy fishing and happy eating!!

When my kids were super little, I always told them “we don’t eat because we’re bored!” When I’d find them crawling into the pantry or the cabinets. They’re 12 and 15 now, and I still tell them the same thing when they’re searching the fridge or pantry or cabinets while i’m cooking an actual meal or when it’s a rainy or snowy day and they’re home and bored.
