Hiya, I think van life people are amongst those that have realised that the world we live in is one based on fear, depression, and hatred. Nice to see a van life couple trying to spread love and harmony and healing. I haven't embarked on the van life yet, but the plan is in the works for early next year and it's something that I should have done years ago having been awake for a long time now. To be honest I've never felt threatened in the UK in my van but I have had two potentially nasty incidents abroad, once in the South of France and one involving gypsies in Spain who attempted to break into my motorhome in broad daylight when I was having an afternoon nap,

Right let’s just get this out there, get in you are off to Morocco. We are off there in January as part of our 4 month honeymoon (who knows maybe more) We are shitting ourselves about Morocco but have been inspired by yours and your mates vlogs last year. So thank you. Anyway that said if Andy fancies any company in January, as that’s when we are going, we’d be more than happy to journey with him. Helps us not shit ourselves as much. Although it’s a shame Lyndsey ain’t there as there’s still a definite musical duet with Billy needs to happen. He’ll have a guitar in the garage

Omg mate that's bad that u were actually with in reach of the guy if u opened the door I remember parked up in the lake district on quiet road outside a village, heard someone Trying my door in the morning. I opened my side door to see runner just happen to be running down the road Always ensure ur van is locked and put in a remote controlled light u can flick on

2 weeks into living on the streets a guy was trying to break into my storage lockers under the truck, I crept up to the back door and put on my deepest bad man voice and said "What the f3ck are you doing" he shat himself, looked both ways wondering where the voice cam from, started to say something with strong over tones of an excuse, then ran away. We live in desperate times that create desperate ppl who do desperate things. I have a bird view 360 surround camera system now and contemplate putting a pass through to the cab regularly but its a hell of a job being a cab over and will only ever be an awkward hatch to crawl through if I do.

So, I think you can desire to head out of the UK - love the dream of Morocco - but it’s a bit steep to appear to link that to the spoons who tried the van handles. We’re all here and have many amazing and safe spaces for van life here in the UK 🫶🏼
