Hey, Mike! I laughed out loud watching Crackerjack “steerdozing” the Gator. Your temps have me beyond shivering. Our high of 69 today seemed chilly after the 90 plus days last week. This has been a crazy year and we’re all dealing with a new reality. Thank you for bringing us along vicariously in your day to day Wyoming Life. I started watching with the 30 in 30. Our shelter in place/lockdown still continues as L.A. County remains on Calif’s highest restriction level. My age and immune statis puts me at high risk, so I seldom go out. Your vlogs are so welcome. May God bless.

Tack weld 2 or three pieces of 1/8 inch flat stock ( lite as possible) top and bottom of gate. Bottom with wheel barrel larger tire application. Rolls over cattle guards, snow, easier for "old timers" and youth ranch hands to open & close. Maybe cable and tensioner halfway, top to bottom . Bends purdy easy by the look. Future in mind. Longevity.

good luck mike. i will tell you that if you do wind up feeding them and then putting them back after the storm, they're going to ride the fence for several days or perhaps until you actually move them for winter. i know you're in a bind, but they can lose a lot of flesh in a short period worrying about coming home instead of spreading out. we're kinda in the same boat here, really don't want to move into winter pastures yet. take care and stay warm!

Such a culture shock, you're starting to see more cattle here now that farmers have figured out they can run cattle on CRP land, but I actually choose to run on land that's less than desirable for row cropping year after year. I'm moving cattle into lush grass that tickles their bellies. It's a daily chore, keeping them moved onto fresh salad bar. At times, 2 or 3 times per day under certain circumstances, our little herd of 500 Dexters pack on the weight and develop that buttery, nutty flavored meat. I'm no slave to dogma, while most of my cattle are grass fed and finished, a few of my customer's do request corn finished. I'll also pick up 3-500 head of rescue cattle from a large local dairy, and market "tavern beef" from anything that classes out at choice, and it's just full of dripping over the edge of the plate slices of prime rib, great bar beef sirloins, strips. The "standard" stuff is marketed as jerky, snack sticks, the beef chips, and HOT DOGS. It takes a crap load of time to do it, I started out trying to market to locals, they are only interested in what they can by on a .99 menu. Using the market garden / farmers market experience I picked up as a kid, I packed up what I produced and took it to a higher class, more sophisticated eater. It took decades, but over time, we quit the markets, and given some more time, we stopped delivering. MY CUSTOMER'S ARE PICKING UP AND DISTRIBUTING MY PRODUCT FOR ME, THEN THANKING ME! Just keep on keeping on, I admire you tremendously. If you ever want to come check us out, as long as you respect our privacy, you're more than welcome. (don't want us or our kids on the internet). But please make it your goal to put a stop to other people determining the value of your hard work other than those who are enjoying the final product!

@@patshhi4620 I have seen this much snow in Sept and Oct. We live in the foothills of the Rockies about a hour East of Banff at 4400' ASL. The moist air from the Pacific drops as rain or snow on us as it rises over the mountains. Last winter we had 12' 8" of snow plus 14" of rain through the summer. This last week it has been abnormally cold though. Saturday morning it was -4F where our normal temperature would be in the 40's or 50's. This week looks better for both temperature and snow.
