Idk I agree with the he probably wouldn't have learned part, his strength was magically stolen, and even with a bigger body he still would have been fast just he would have been a bigger target making it harder to dodge. Though I believe his greatest strength has always been his focus and ability to predict his opponents. That has been done on his own and he probably would have always had it in some form as it is tied to his personality, just his current fighting style solely relies on it and his speed so that would no longer be true if he was big and strong.
