In many states inherited property is not considered community property. If you sell it the funds will be. So when he divorces you for Nicole he gets half of your inheritance

Decided to give her a chance after she found out her sister stole from her own parents(yes that is a crime). I would have made that call even before the situation with her husband and sister. Lastly, why can't older women be jeweled, and flasy earrings? I keep up with some of the latest fashions, now I dont buy teenage clothes. But, I love a lot of they jewelry, and hair styles (ok, yes, I do have blue hair😊). Us women can still have a bit of a wild side when you're my age without looking like I think I really am .20.

I'm only on the first installment and I'd immediately return that jewelry. OP said it wasn't for her and they are short on cash so even if her husband bought it for a relative it's too expensive a gift to give anyone. I don't know aobut anyone else but I was raised that you do not give expensive jewelry to anyone but SO because those kinds of gifts come with expectations/ strings. OP's husband would have been way out of line buying that jewelry for anyone but OP. If it turned out to be for a side piece, she'd probably find out pretty quickly once he discovered the gift was gone. Also, why the hell was OP alright with her husband flirting with random women? I would have nipped that in the bud pronto. As for sellign the house HELL NO! I would be demanding to know why he wanted to do that and what he wanted to do with the money? Ok first off, fix the title of the story, as I was expecting a different story, and was let down. Second this story has to be fake. Going to break it down. Main story: If Peter's spending was out of control for months, why didn't OP asks for bank statements, especially if they have a joint account or something? She just allowed it to happen like that for so long without getting to the bottom of it? Also if Peter was let go, did he ever get another job? There's no way they could last that long on savings without getting a job. Plus, Peter flirting with other women, even younger ones didn't set her off? Yet she never talked to him about it and asked why he does it? Now when Nicole comes into the picture, why isn't much history given off of her and the parents? Why wouldn't they know about her excessive spending? Plus another thing is coming to mind, if the house is left to OP, what are they doing with it? Are they currently living in it, or is it empty? Is it being rented out? That is not said. Yet why is it she decides to search around after Peter suggests to sell the house? If he was spending badly, why wouldn't she look before hand? Plus i'm seriously questioning the severity of OP's financial situation. She finds expensive earrings...yet she instantly think it's for Nicole instead of being furious and mad about how expensive they were? If they were having money problems she should be worried about spending money they needed on it. Update 1: Soo...the excuse was to get it for a female for a job? Basically bribing her? Yet OP didn't emphasize that the gift was way too expensive and they couldn't afford to waste money on it? Are they really in a finical bind for something like that not to come up? And OP is ok with it? Still that shouts out red flags. Plus OP not pressing the issue when Peter was desperate in selling the house is a mistake. She should have kept pressure and asking what is going on, plus that is a major red flag. Plus, a chance to end things or get to the bottom of it yet OP refuse to tell the parents because she wants to be mature? Uhhh...there are other ways around it. She could ask if Nicole has been acting odd or has been doing things differently. That or just tell them to save them money...yet she wants to be mature about it and not get her into trouble? She's doing something that that is effecting you, and you're not acting on it? Yet when she sees nude pictures on the phone she considers talking to the parents? Jeez make up your mind already OP. Update 2: Soooooo....did OP tell Peter she was staying at her parents? Yet why did he take a taxi? why didn't he take a car? That is confusing. Especially after OP's blow up he didn't reveal anything, he just allowed her to leave instead of speaking up right then and there. That just seemed like a waste of time. Now the reveal of him being blackmailed just sounds stupid. Why didn't he just delete the pictures in the first place? Why did he keep the pictures on the phone? And she crafted the messages into a different conversation that made it seem like he was the instigator? I'm pretty sure anyone could tell it's a doctored voice recording. Also, why didn't he just go to the cops? They could tell if the message is doctored. Also if it was going on for months, don't you think OP would have caught onto this and asks about statements? Especially if he's spending things and not seeing anything that shows he bought something? Also, why would Nicole comes to the house and ask OP about paying her college fees? If they were being taken care of why go and ask her? That is just stupid and makes no sense. Plus if Nicole had an audio recording, and fearing that OP wouldn't believe her, then why wouldn't Nicole go to the cops and report him instead of just sending the pictures? That's just plain logic. He should have just gone to the cops and had her arrested as extortion is illegal. Again if she played the recording, just ask, "If you had that all along, why didn't you just report me?" Update 3: Why didn't Peter record a conversation with Nicole in the past and get her to confess to the blackmail? That's another easy fix and could have saved him a lot of time. When she said she had a recording it was an automatic thing he should have thought of to exonerate himself. Plus, Nicole drunkenly wrecked rental cars? Why didn't the car rental place call and have her arrested? Missing facts there. Plus, why didn't the parents automatically call the cops when the recording Nicole had was played to them? If they had "evidence" on it some would definitely call the cops right then and there. Final update: So if Nicole was failing school, then wouldn't she be put on academic probation? So college would be irrelevant as she wouldn't be allowed to attend school. Peter took bad steps when there were easy solutions, and OP reacted to things that shouldn't have been reacted to. This story is fake as there are too many things that don't make sense. And yes, I know there are stories like this, and I can't help but point these things out. Just ignore this if you don't like it.

Every decision he made from the beginning when her husband was doing questionable stuff up until the middle of the story shows how dumb she was. Her sister can cry all her text messages all she want unless her husband was answering her sister messages why would you be afraid of her blackmailing you. We all know the answer to that. She is so stupid and so desperate to stay with this man that she's basically just embarrassing herself. You basically told why you stay with him because the ladies like him or whatever meaning that he probably looks good but he's a straight-up dog. So we got some low self-esteem going on with op. She forced herself to believe his story and what it is that regardless if he's cheating or not she is not going anywhere. Blackmail isn’t necessarily about truth or not. Just the hint of wrong doing can be enough to destroy someone’s life. You’d be surprised how many people will allow themselves to be blackmailed when they haven’t done anything wrong strictly because some people believe no smoke without fire.
