Nat Shilkret and The Victor Orchestra play "Out of The Dawn" from the film: "Warming Up". This has to be one of my all-time favorite tunes by Nat Shilkret, mostly due to the lush strings and syncopating saxophones that make multiple appearances. It also helps that the song is beautiful, at least in my opinion. This is the theme tune to the synchronized sound film "Warning Up", similar to how the flip side of this record was also a movie theme. The film is unfortunately considered to be lost, with no prints known to exist. A real shame, as I would have enjoyed hearing how the composer Walter Donaldson had the song performed in the film. (This song has also been caught by Content ID, though it appears that there is no issue).

Lyrics (transcribed from the record):
Out of the dawn,
There came a sunbeam.
Out of the dawn,
A dream came true.
Wandering on,
I find that sunbeam,
Lingering on
The long day through.
Please tell me who'd ever think
My skies would ever be blue?
Who'd ever think
I'd need somebody like you?
But out of the dawn,
There came a sunbeam.
And a beautiful dream
Came true!
