The mystery is a cliffhanger! But in the middle of the night, theres this horrendous crash........one of the locomotives from up north found that string of gondolas, and scattered them over the landscape like toys...........

Jason, I hope your holiday went well, and I hope you have a Happy New Year! Thank you for all your efforts to bring us the railroad experiences of your area, even though they're not always positive. It shows the realities of the effects of mismanagement that others have to endure. Bad trackage means that railcars of finished siding sit idle instead of being sent to their respective warehouses for distribution or they have to be trucked away, or gondolas of scrap metal sit rusting, or Mega Log Haulers sit there, full of wood to be processed or they sit idle and empty while 3 or 4 trucks haul what 1 MLH would carry. I'm just an ordinary average guy (thanks, Joe Walsh!), and if I can understand that, why doesn't E&LS management? And I don't know what that other guy is saying about you getting arrested again. Take care, and keep doing what you do. I know I appreciate it, I hope everyone else does as well.

The cars weren't unknowingly lost along the tracks. They were parked and the handbrakes set. E&LS employees aren't baffoons... Just happened to be parked where they aren't visible from the cemetery.

We appreciate all that driving but it never fails the unit winds up being right by the Home Base. I'm trusting they brought up 10 empties to replace the 10 they pulled. This certainly was not a good sign that MOW people are now by the switch to Allter every time it's used. This could be an indication they have to order a new one. Nothing like trying to find 10 gondolas and they're missing in action. They probably want to spare the 1221 from having to pull that weight up to Channing and back. So here we have an urgent car of glue and again the pulpwood is probably stacking up and a sad part is that last hour you had covered the trains switching at Pembine all the log trucks going by on the highway many of which no doubt are going to and coming from LP so even more business to be lost. These cooler temperatures with melting snow and rain falling with a little or no wind has caused thick fog through much of Wisconsin for at least 3 days. Pretty soon this will be like a chapter of Dora the Explorer
