Yep! He starred in the original movie musical a decade before it was turned into a Broadway hit! Funny thing was, when he signed up for the job, it wasn't supposed to be a musical but a serious historical drama. By the time he arrived in California, they decided to turn it into a musical and he had to learn how to sing and dance to keep the job! Given his temper problems that must have been a hell of fun time for his co-stars!

Basically it looks like a guy version of Winter's Bone. Man looks for missing family member who was involved with the criminal element of run down Appalachian type community. Except, insteada asking nicely like Jennifer Lawrence did, Christian Bale starts kicking ass with a Deer rifle! Y'know its gonna be a down 'n' dirty country boy violence movie when both Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson sport that full on Hillbilly facial hair!
