Very nice job. I had mine done 5 months ago and the men did exactly the same process. Home depot and Lowes sells a Kit as a do it yourself and I would definately not recommend it. Why ? My son in law purchased it 2 years ago , he is very fussy with how he does things always does a good job. However it does not tell you the concrete must be sanded and properly cleaned and repaired. THATS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP. It now looks terrible. This is the way it needs to be done for it to look good for many years to come. My wife and I are so happy with our garage floor. I also had the walls painted and got all the junk out of it. Looks so neat. We will probably use it to sit in this summer. Had a ceiling fan installed so we are looking forward to our new room. also when I work on both our cars its so pleasant to be in a clean area. Thanks Guys for doing such a good job and showing good integrity.

Comments like these are what keeps us going! Very much appreciate the kind words! Sounds like you did your homework and it it paid off with an awesome looking floor that's going to hold up to the test of time. It really does transform the space into a whole new area that most people would overlook. Better lighting, clean, easy to maintain, better sense of organization and pride when walking into the area. Sorry to hear about your son in law. It's for sure a sticker shock price if you're getting quotes from reputable flooring installers. As you mentioned, it's 98% in the prep work and having the right equipment and tooling makes all the difference in a 1 year failing floor and a 15+ year lasting floor. You and your Wife enjoy yourselves this summer in your new space and thanks again for watching!

I feel it would have lacked atmosphere anyway

Are you able to reuse the excess chips that you sweep up?

For the most part, yes! Before we do our initial scrape, we do a quick blow of whatever is on top that didn't soak into the epoxy, into the corner to reclaim and store / keep on hand for backup jobs, misc. trailer coatings for friends etc. We don't use the reclaimed material for new clients floor. After I start scraping, I'm sort of OCD about getting cross contamination and will trash it.
